Well clearly she didn't shut it down she just slowed it down to a crawl so that you can't send messages or pictures.

Also she is not the only person who can do it its just that everyone else who can do it was trained by her to do so.

Pacing is quite different from the books, but that was to be expected.

I think the pacing has been pretty good, giving good backstory and trying to develop the characters some without just rushing right into a full-blown chaotic situation.

Definitely think the show is finding it's footing and setting up for a nice season finale. Also glad it was renewed so early for a 2nd season.

So far it's not The Walking Dead level of different from the book/comics, but it's changing enough to keep things interesting and add some surprises for the readers.

Yeah when they said one car has wheels but no engine and the other had no wheels but an engine in my head I was already thinking, well no chance the bolt pattern matches.

Then oddly enough it took about 30 minutes before the idiot hacker chick suggested swapping the wheels, lol.

It did follow the book, but I will say when I was reading the big scene involving the Master, it was much cooler in my head than what they did on the show. Felt like that could have been done a bit better.

The part with Eph and Zack at the end was about what I had pictured.

I read where the guy playing Eph said they were going to ditch the hair-piece by the end of the season, guess they opted not to go that route? Shame, it's really bad.

Still interested to see where they go with the second season, and glad they actually killed Nora's mother off this early, she was annoying in the book and lasted entirely too long.

It's not far off from what I imagine reading the book, I guess I expected to see more worms crawling around under his skin and stuff.

My problem is that the show just showed him way too early. It definitely shouldn't have shown him in the first episode, it should be a building mystery before he is revealed. They got his fast moving/crawling thing down and that was in the books, but felt like he should have been a bit more evil/scary looking.

There is an element to his story/history that they "touched" on in the first season but for some reason I thought it would be a bigger part of the first season. It has been a few years since I read the books so I kinda forget what happened in which book so maybe I'm just getting it out of order. They should delve more into his appearance in the second season(can't imagine they just abandon that storyline all together).

My biggest gripe with the finale is the fact that they had the master bombarded with sunlight in that room and they were just standing around. Freaking attack him already!!!!!

Think the expectation was that the sun would definitely kill the Master without them having to get close enough that he could kill them if they went to attack with swords.

They even admitted that they basically under-estimated his power/strength and that it was a huge mistake. I mean to be fair, every vampire they'd seen to that point was destroyed fairly quickly by sunlight, so probably thought it was safer to just let the sunlight kill him than risk him hurting one of them or them getting a worm trying to cut him.
