I bet the Russian-backed rebels shot down that plane, went to the crash site, found the black boxes, found any missile fragments, then took that shit back to Russia.

We can track missile launches via spy satellites already. Combine that with I'm sure daily spy satellite passes that are photographing and recording troop movements (how else do we know on a daily basis whether Russia is pulling back troops from the border or not) and I'm quite positive that the President and members of the military knew hours ago whose equipment fired at it.

The real question is, who was running it? Was it Russian Army troops or the separatists that may or may not be Russian soldiers working as freedom fighters and "borrowing" Russian military hardware. Either way, those peoples blood is on Putin's hands either directly or indirectly.

Putin himself knows. Does anyone think it's kinda odd that the first thing he did was pick up the phone, call Obama, and let him know what happened?

yeah, they are godawful, yet still not as bad as FNC or MSNBC.

I cancelled my cable a few months ago, though. All I really wanted to watch was news and documentary-type stuff, and there wasn't much of either to be found.

I forget where we were discussing Russian-Ukraine conflicts, so I dredged this thread back up.

Just FYI.... Russia is unabashedely rolling military equipment, namely heavily arm, into Ukraine now. The ceasefire is basically in name only now, and surely will collapse soon.
And to stick a thumb in the eye of the U.S., Russia says they are going to build a nuclear reactor in Iran.
