Yeah, I really thought this show had turned a corner midway through Season 3, and rather liked everything that happened up until Haqqani got away from Quinn twice. That dude needed to die, there's no payoff otherwise. I'm ok with bad guys win scripts, but this was a really bad way to do it. They also destroyed all plausible connection to reality with the Pakistani army openly protecting a Taliban leader. Just a silly plot contrivance because they still have no idea where this show is going and want to keep all options open.

First a shitty Newsroom finale (worst I think I've ever seen), and then this. As the previous poster said, they should have ended on the last episode, and not written that awful fucking ending to a season. That was a waste of 60 minutes.

I sure won't say the finale wasn't boring as fuck, it was, but at least it set up the next season well. I hope they focus a lot on Quinn in Syria/Iraq but let's be cereal, they will probably bring back Dana and have a big cry fest with her, Carrie, and Carrie's mom instead.

Just binged watched this last week and it was awesome. Carrie is even more fucked up and Quinn is even more bad-ass. Bet Carrie wishes Quinn would have let her pull the trigger and kill Saul in the desert.

It ended on a dud...but I don't know what else they could have done. Good season...definitely has me hooked again after the dragged the Brody shit-show on for a season too long.

But it's making for an exciting finale...so fuck it.

So the little cousin is the only one that can trigger the gas bomb I assume? Only because Carrie shooting him before he triggers it is the only way it doesn't go off. I can't imagine the ringleader would have trusted him with this task...being that he's the guy that most likely to puss-out and not do it (already didn't lock one of the gates).

Or....he's going to try and stop the bomb going off himself? He was suppose to lock the gate and be on other side. Instead...he doesn't lock it and goes through the entrance. Maybe he's going to the bomb location and try to stop his cousin/ringleader from setting it off? Which also leads Carrie there to help stop it.

It wasn't horrible. But it wasn't great. This show has some of the best writing and sequences on television, but it has struggled with top notch finales. That last episode should have probably been 2 episodes, one dealing with the bomb threat being thwarted (and more time on how Carrie is a bad ass) and then an episode clearing out Allison.

When Carrie's ex was saying 'Were you the blond that everyone was talking about', I yelled 'Yes, you are dating a certified bad ass and you're an idiot to walk away'.

^ Especially following up the prior episode. They end on a cliff hanger that gets resolved in the first 5 minutes in a very, very predictable way. Then its another 50 minutes of nothing.

Kind of similar to most of the other Homeland finales though.

Watching. Hoping someone steps up and is a boss like Quinn was before he got gassed. Although crazy Carries takedown of the 4chan punk was pretty badass. So tired of the drama with her sisters family. Almost as annoying as Brody’s family nonsense.
