.
.after getting stuck in epoxy and then slipping around on it once it cured, she doesnt want to step foot on it again. I placed a treat 8 feet from the door and she got onto the floor and even took a few steps and I could see she wasn't sliding around anymore..but she got scared and turned around before getting to the treat

^yeah i sorta fucked up mine as well but it still looks ok overall i think
i started with a 10 inch disc buffer with sanding disc but it broke soon after starting.. so I went to a 6 inch orbital ..with 120 grit discs..worked very well. By sanding the surface you also make the color chips sit even with the substrate so when it gets clear coated with polyurethane it looks so smooth. The polyurethane feels much grippier than the epoxy did (didn't use the anti-slip powder)
i was super methodical about applying the poly and still missed a couple spots and had to touch them up the day after. Those spots are noticeably touched up when looking at surface reflections, but under most conditions blend in perfectly. 12/11/2014 4:28:21 PM |
