Lee just isn't very good. Turner has been fine this year other than vs Purdue when he had a rough game. I think we're fine. We struggled on the road against a solid Purdue team. No reason to panic yet IMO.

We have ZERO offense and that is a serious problem anytime your talent level does not exceed the opponent's by a lot. Once the talent differential is gone, games come down to offensive execution, team defense, team rebounding and free throw shooting. All things that we either do poorly or don't do at all.

Almost all of our points come from guys beating their man and scoring on them 1 on 1. This means we don't get easy baskets and will continue to have extended scoring droughts if our guys aren't hitting these tough shots.

Watch where our points come from if you don't see this already. Lacey running down jacking a jumper in someones face. Cat running down driving and scoring. Quick pass to turner jacking a long 3. Washington scoring facing up the defender or back to the basket.

The one thing we do score on that may look like offense is when our guys get stuck in isolation and make an emergency last second pass, the defender sells out for the steal and we get an open shot. Those are plays that work against most teams but turn into dunks the other way against good teams.

I'm not sure if this team has any hope but going small could free some space for our style to be more efficient. How many possessions do we come down and just hold the ball or dribble until late in the shot clock? That is definitely not our philosophy and is a result of traffic inside. If guys are just going to stand around and not run a team offense (which at this point is what will happen the entire season, offenses can't be installed overnight.) then we at least need to spread the floor. Play martin at the 4 and just go small. Its not like big ball has been successful. We got destroyed on rebounding and interior defense against Purdue and still had the offensive problems. Could small ball be much worse?

We had 4 great players in the first year and added 3 elite freshmen the 2nd year. Two highly skilled bigs, an exceptional 3 point shooter, and an elite guard. Its hard to not look good when you you have top 5 talent.
