He benched the starters at the half and tried to run the clock down. WTF was he supposed to do? The problem is the other team is complete shit so I don't see how that coach is in the wrong at all. You never tell your players to stop trying or play easy, that is when people get hurt.

The coach says he ran down the shot clock, but I don't reallly buy it. Girls high school basketball games are 32 minutes long. Maybe I'd believe it if I saw what the score was at halftime.

Most likely what happened is they were playing full court the whole game and the other team couldn't break it, just turned the ball over every time. If the coach was being honest when he said he was using this game to prepare for league play then maybe he should have switched to half court defense. You can still play hard at a slower pace and it will prepare the team better for when they play a more talented team they can't just blow past.

I don't understand the herm Edwards quote here, winning was never in doubt.

If they couldn't break a press, what makes you think they could break a half court trap? Those kids were doomed by their idiotic coach. Any coach worth a damn should be able to prepare his team for what they will face. If its known that the opponent at our next game will run full court press all game, PRACTICE FOR IT.

Don't get destroyed and try to act like the other coach was morally wrong because he didn't tell his team to act like the Harlem Globetrotters.

Very, very, very few high school girls basketball games need a shot clock. It's a miracle some teams can get the ball up the floor. Give them enough time to formulate a good possession.
