can't:
shellfish

won't:
olives
mushrooms
raisins
offal

this is as far as standard food goes. there's probably a lot more obscure shit that i wouldn't eat, but is either some weird mashup of ingredients that, by themselves i'm fine with, or shit like bugs that people in third world countries eat

I love olives and blue cheese. The best are blue cheese stuffed olives. I could eat a jar of them by themselves.

As far as can't... Over time i feel like i'm developing an allergy to bananas and avocados... is this a thing? whenever I eat them my throat gets mildly scratchy and tingly... I never noticed this when I was young. are these common things to develop an allergy to?
(but hell if i'm giving up guacamole)

You may be developing a latex allergy. Bananas and avocados would be among the first sensitivities that would appear. Within a year of developing it, one bite of guacamole would seriously kill me without quick medical attention.

Was cutting some of these last night and remembered that I can't/won't eat them either. Raw red onion.

Olives
Blue Cheese
Raw Red Onions

As far as somewhat normal foods go...I can't eat those three.

^i'm not crazy about raw red onion either - and wouldn't normally eat it by itself. but if it's on or with something (like a cheeseburger) i'll eat it. i usually pick them out of salads though

I really wish I did like them. My wife has a lot of good recipes with olives in them, and we either do it sans olives (which really hurts the dish), or she just scraps the recipe all together. She use to try and force them on me (and I've tried and tried), but she's now given up.

Similar thing with blue cheese. I love every single other cheese...even the stinky soft ones. Just can't do blue. Gag-a-rific.

I'm really only picky about cheese and eggs.

I won't eat mac n cheese, any combination of cheese and eggs, or quiche. I'm not a fan of bleu cheese, but I've eaten it before.

I don't like pears, but that's a texture thing. They always feel like overripe apples or have a weird starchy(?) texture.

I don't like anything licorice/anise flavored unless it's really mild like in five-spice powder or corpse revivers, but I feel like that's a common one.

This.

My hate is mostly for black olives, but that has swayed my opinion of all olives in general. Love olive oil though.

Olive haters... have you tried Kalamata olives? They have a nice intense flavor (a few go a long way in a whole pot) and a meaty texture as opposed to the rubbery black ones.

They are brown in color, and are from Greece.

I LOVE ALL FOOD.

I don't think I can even think of anything I wouldn't at least try.

Ok one thing... but I know someone who died of Creutzfeldt-Jakob because of it.

I can't eat any onions except bloomin' and the ones chopped up real small on the McDonald's cheeseburger. Any other kind make me gag, its the texture more than anything. I always have to check the ingredients when I buy soup and they all have onions, its awful, and I got real pissed last year because New England Chunky, which I thought was restaurant quality, added onions into their soup for no reason. Maybe it was celery, I can't stand that in soup but I will eat it with wings and blue cheese. I bought about six cans at once when they were on sale and they still sit uneaten in my pantry.

I've had this at some african restaurant here. Truly disgusting.

I won't eat most condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, ranch dressing, etc) and olives.

Olives taste like how pee smells.

Cucumbers. They just rip my stomach a new asshole every time I eat them. I HAVE to pick them out of salads and it definitely hurts my sushi game too. Pickles don't really bother my stomach as much but I pretty much avoid them too, I like other pickled stuff though (peppers, green beans, etc) except pickled eggs, fuck that disgusting shit.

Forget about water chestnuts. Hate the texture more than the flavor.
