In terms of your picture quality I have no idea. I just use a VPN that costs about $6/mo to keep my internet freedom and avoid ESPN blackouts online. I can change my IP from NC to Virginia to Chicago to Fresno to Hong Kong in a few clicks.

I would try a different browser and see if that helps, you can also use GPU acceleration on Flash with a Firefox plugin, I do. Hell I have my tablet in the other room streaming WatchESPN app and it has great quality too, but my PC beats it by far in sound and video.

BTW guys, this team almost beat UVA (3 pts)

The quality definitely swings for me too, but it's normally a very short amount of time it goes to like sub-480i, like 30 seconds until it is back to HD.

It is the price we pay to avoid paying for cable/satellite.
