I used a similar qualcomm when I first got a cell phone in 1996/97 when I was in college.

22/23 it was 2003. I got like two calls a week when I had a landline, not much has changed in that regard. I got it because I had moved into an apartment and the roommate didn't have a landline, so why not.

16ish back in 1999-2000 when I got my license. Shitty little Qualcomm if I remember right. Upgraded to that StarTAC after that.

I think this was it.

I got it in 2001 when I was a freshman in high school for my 15th birthday in October. It was mainly so my parents could keep track of me. Either it couldn't store numbers, or I didn't know how to so I kept everyone's phone number on a folded piece of paper in my wallet.

On the other hand my sister has had a fucking iPhone since she was in like 5th or 6th grade.
