What's the deal with merging after splitting? Is it just a timer, or do you have to eat a certain number of things?

I think it's a timer. And the green spiky things are "viruses." 7 shots to propel one into an enemy. There's a link on the 1st page that shows how to make a macro to assign a key to press W 7 times.

i think i read that it's a base time of 30 seconds, plus a fraction of how much your cell weighs. so bigger cells take longer to merge back together.

i take a lot of risks when i'm first starting... i split up into 4 pieces asap to sweep across the dots to grow mass quickly. often times though someone will take part of me... when that happens i reward them by sacrificing the rest of my mass to them since i've just started anyway. after doing it i've had some "w" fed to me from some of the folks i helped out.

I just do full screen...need to figure out how to disable that "you are in full screen" message in chrome though. google hasn't been much help yet.

The Android app isn't terrible, but i feel like i can't see enough of the field, especially when I'm small, exaggerating the laborious part of each round. Maybe I'm missing a setting somewhere...

Anyone know how big you have to get to start losing mass? I know it's under 1000. Not sure what the mass drops down to before it stops if you get big then just stay alive without eating anything.

When you get big, yes. I have had the Show Mass turned on but never bothered to see at what size you start losing it. But huge cells still have to eat to stay huge.

You always lose mass. It's just more apparent when you're larger.

There is a mass threshold you have to pass before beginning to decay. If it's anything like the src files on github, it's only 9, but it's not apparent until you're enormous because the decay rate is so low.

Has anyone played on the experimental server? It has red/brownish viruses that spit out dots and will eat you if you run into them too far. When it eats a cell, it'll spit out a bunch of dots.

I got in one room where most people left, so it was like me and 3 others. Everybody was just splitting into 18 pieces and flying around eating dots. You can eat viruses if you are in 18 pieces. But it got boring because nobody could do anything.

So if TWW plays, it'd probably be more fun to get in a big room and team up, rather than have like 8 TWWers in a room only.
