seriously. as much as everyone correctly remembers Lee Fowler as a terrible AD, people either forget or don't realize what a galactic failure he was.

Jimbo Fisher was a realistic candidate. As was Paul Johnson. Both were interested in the job, but when TOB jumped in the mix, Fowler abruptly ended the interview process. source

Oh and this was after he passed over Sean Miller to ultimately hire Sidney Lowe after whiffing on Calipari and other big names we were never going to get. Still kinda shocking that Calipari was so close to coming to state. Miller was an unknown at that time, and i believe only had a couple of years of HC experience at Xavier, but did just have them in back to back NCAA tourney appearances.

So if there's any credence to the multiverse theory, there exists a universe where Lee Fowler isn't a bumbling moron and our FB and BB coaches in 2015 are Jimbo Fisher and Sean Miller. But, we don't get to live in that universe.

At some point, we as a fan base need to ask questions not about the coaches we hire, but about the program itself. Dave Doeren would have ended up at Wisconsin if we had delayed hiring him by a week. Are we providing the coaches with what they need to succeed? Facilities wise? Academics wise? Cheating wise? Nom saying?

I am undefeated in my Madden dynasty. I also formerly had success as a college coach, winning 10+ National Championships in a row in the last NCAA football game, while bringing in the #1 recruiting class year after year. I even made a BCS bowl at UTSA.

I know most feel, and I agree, that DD has at least through next year before he's on the hot seat.

BUT, maybe we fire Canada, hire Chip as OC, ( with a big head coach like salary, (maybe get goodnight or another big whig to foot the bill ). Then if DD sucks again next year, we give Chip the reins to the wolfpack as head coach, and up his salary again.

This would all be written into his K (contract).

Might as well get Cowher to be the DC, Chip as OC, and Saban as head coach. Probably get Urban as recruiting coordinator and Les Miles to be a graduate assistant.

Haha, I mean i know we can't get Cowher out of retirement, or get Saban at DC.

But getting Chip Killy at OC is not that outlandish. He has failed at the NFL level, and he ran away from Oregon like a rat fleeing a sinking ship. (you'll notice though that Oregon hasn't been the same without him)

All the major schools currently have their HC. No big programs out there looking.

So what's next? Being an OC at a big time ACC program can raise his visibility on the College stage. Look at the OC at Clemson, Chad Kelly! Everybody has been wanting to hire that piece of shit.

Chip will see that we have Jacobi Meyers, who is a PERFECT QB for his system. Chip would see Heisman potential in this kid.

Chip does this for one year, then takes the LSU job in 2017 when Les finally kicks it. Its not that crazy a thought. I guarantee Yow has made a few calls...
