Horrible fucking trade that made no sense last year just got even more awful. Fuck Olivera. They should just release his ass at this point in order to look like they care that he beat down some hooker. 5/26/2016 9:37:05 PM |

They were looking to get a power hitting third baseman and swung and missed. Not like the Dodgers have really gotten a great return themselves 5/26/2016 11:09:58 PM |

^^ more awful how? its not like the braves will miss him for these games...unless they were hoping to showcase him for a trade and flip him 5/26/2016 11:14:27 PM |

^Nah, that suspension could be pivotal in the vaunted Braves/Twins #1 pick race 5/26/2016 11:28:28 PM |

Awful in the sense that they are getting jack shit for the next 82 games, owe this fucker $28+ million over the next 4+ years and could have been used Wood/Peraza on this year's team. Or at least traded them for something useful in the future. Peraza would be an upgrade over Jace or Aybar at this point.
The trade made zero sense when it was executed as we were rebuilding so why would we trade a young lefty and a decent middle IF prospect for a 31 yr old (maybe older), unproven Cuban player with a relatively fat contract when the Braves are allergic to paying anyone. Just made no sense then and it looks worse now that Olivera is essentially valueless. 5/27/2016 2:21:09 PM |

They were hoping he would provide power from the 3B slot until Austin riley is ready in a couple years. I really don't know how much more obvious it can be. Power is the one area this team is/ will be lacking when they start getting competitive in a year or two. The front office was hoping he could provide that. Peraza and wood are so so players and we've replaced them and then some already. They took a gamble and it didn't pay off. Didn't really set them back any either, so ho hum 5/30/2016 3:27:03 PM |

You can get tickets for $39 per MONTH
too bad fat ass jibbles abandoned this team just like he does with most of his other teams, or he could spend the rest of his ticket money on lots of hot dogs and pretzels 6/10/2016 12:14:35 AM |

That is a hilarious promotion. If I was single and lived in the relative vicinity of Turner, I'd be all over that shit like Jibbles on yeast rolls from Quincys. 6/10/2016 9:10:49 PM |

Of those three, I'll take Snitker. I think Bud Black will be the choice though. Washington won a couple MOY awards, but he was notorious for making bad decisions when it counted the most. 10/5/2016 4:29:36 PM |

He deserved a chance after the Braves finished the season strong and did okay in the 2nd half. He certainly had them on the right path.
Washington as the 3rd base coach should be interesting. No idea who the pitching coach is other than he is from the minor league system and worked with a lot of the young arms. Guess he had a couple good years as the Marlins pitching coach too. 10/11/2016 4:46:41 PM |
