Objectively, there is some kind of look-the-other-way culture going on at Tennessee. I mean I know it's a backwoods redneck school, but I also thought it was fairly gender-progressive, since the greatest sports figure associated with the school is Pat Summitt, a woman. It's just a sad situation.

What I am hearing through my vast network of contacts in the AD (which may not be correct, once again, allegation, not proof, but still another side of the story) is that Bowles' gf or date fucked another player that night, didnt want Bowles to know, so she claimed that the player raped her to keep Bowles from getting mad at her, he confronted the player, player got mad that he was being accused of rape, and a fight almost occurred (or did occur, they arent sure), and that Butch kept Bowles protected (see above) while they were figuring out things. His last few months with the team everything was fine except he was pissed about lack of playing time and then he transferred. Like I said, no idea if that happened or not. Point is, we dont know what exactly happened yet.
