I forwarded your TWW history to the proper people to help expedite your clearance. 7/22/2016 10:59:30 AM |

Yee, I read it synapse, I just wanted to reiterate that his clearance shouldn't be an issue at all. I've people with some pretty spotty past experiences get clearances with no problems. 7/22/2016 11:23:26 AM |

The biggest problem with clearance is lying about something. Pretty much be straight up with your past and you will be fine.
There are plenty of felons with a clearance.
That being said, the security clearance system is a mess. Different orgs may have different people do their BI's so they may have more or less workload, and may have different agreements with the groups actually doing the BIs as far as time frame.
Anything can be expedited, I promise you that, but the willingness and ability of an individual to do that is another matter. 7/25/2016 1:55:21 PM |

Again, no concern whatsoever that I won't get the clearance. The issue is that I was given one timeframe, acted as though it were accurate, found out it wasn't, and am now flailing around trying to find a shit job to keep body and soul together until the final clearance arrives -- in two months? Six months? A year? Who fucking knows? 7/25/2016 2:01:28 PM |

my clearance was delayed for like 3 months because somebody literally forgot that my file was sitting on their desk..scared me quite a bit
it's cool to call and ask how it's progressing, if it's taking absurdly long. 7/29/2016 9:03:19 PM |

We've had people get paid for over 6 months to do absolutely nothing while they wait on their clearance. 7/30/2016 5:25:04 PM |

Alas, neither USDA or USCIS seem to be on board with that plan.
They want to do a conference call at USDA with HR and the Western Hemisphere director to figure out a plan. 7/31/2016 10:58:16 AM |

my girlfriend's clearance took almost 8 months... then again this was for Homeland Security so probably a little more intense. even for an govt internship she did, it took about 7 months.
if you've travelled to a lot of countries, it's going to take a while. 8/4/2016 7:26:57 AM |

Another day, another letter informing me that a federal agency can't give me an interim clearance. USCIS this time.
So that's three jobs now that I've received offers for, only to find out that those offers are basically worthless. Employment in 6-8 months isn't really employment, now, is it? 8/19/2016 8:30:47 AM |
