I mostly only watched nc state games this year but are there really five or six guards in the country better than Cat so that he wouldn't be a first round pick? He is fast, can shoot, can play pretty good defense. I guess the only knock is that he is kind of skinny.

Duke has no problem scoring or driving and thats all he brings to the table. They would see a dropoff in 3 point shooting and no improvement on defense which is where they struggle. They would essentially be the same.

Allen is a first rounder because he is 6'5 freakishly athletic and doesn't have to have the ball the whole time to be effective. Scouts dont just look at point totals.

This year's thread was so funny. First 3 pages....We're going to the Final Four! Then Lacey left oh no we suck again. Then KW transferred. Damn we won't make the dance. I predicted 6-12, others said even worse and synapse went off. Too bad we were right. I have no idea what to expect next year. NCSU is such an enigma. I think it is what makes being a fan so awesome. And let's assume Cat leaves, so that way when it happens, we are ready.

I don't expect Rowan to transfer this year, but depending on how next season goes, I could see him being disgruntled.

Guy will go from starting and playing a ton of minutes as a true FR and then coming off the bench as a SO.

I would hope that these guys are smart enough to understand that the only reason they all played 30-40 minutes a games was due to injuries, transfers, and leaving of lacey. also would hope that during this year they knew with Dorn and DSJ sitting on the bench every game and practicing with them that some of their playing time was right there waiting.

it's a relatively recent buzz word in orthopedics ... it's, for all intents, the beginnings of a stress fracture. IE they caught it before it got bad enough to be a stress fracture, so he'll get a boot for a few weeks, but he'll be more prone to foot injuries from now on.

Do they not have a podiatrist for the team? All these foot & ankle, and lower leg injuries that keep happening to our players makes me think that they don't have custom orthotics and a dedicated foot and ankle doctor and just some general sports medicine doctor treating them. The foot and ankle is the most complex body part in orthopedics, which is why there are doctors soley dedicated to the foot and ankle, and why it took forever to come up with good total ankle replacements. All the pros have custom orthotics for their sneakers that they play in, even if their feet aren't all that bad.
