Yeah, I realized when I posted it how dumb it was but didn't want to go edit and walk it back. I'd had a few beers and was on an anti-KD kick after he shit all over the court in that game.
There is a very slim possibility that he doesn't re-up with OKC for one more year and he misses out on the salary cap bump max by signing somewhere else this offseason. It would be stupid, but it's conceivable. 4/21/2016 9:17:06 PM |

clark and mcadoo should not be on the floor. kerr wasted the chance to get back into the game during harden's rest.
they are deep enough to just play regular rotation players. 4/21/2016 10:29:46 PM |

it's a grade 1 sprain, not a torn MCL. my guess he's out 2-3 weeks and returns in time for game four against the Clippers. 4/25/2016 4:04:43 PM |

thats assuming curry returns to his old self which i doubt. He was at such a high level you don't just come back with that type of level of play. You saw how bad his shooting was last night after only a few days off.
i think there is a sizable chance we never see prime curry again. 4/25/2016 5:04:38 PM |

first of all, Rose was never worthy of an MVP. he's never on been on Curry's level and he was never going to be.
second of all, it's just a sprain. he didn't tear his ACL or anything. his ankle injury a few years ago was a huge deal, but this isn't a career ending injury.
i get that you're bored and trolling, but this is much better news that i was expecting. 4/25/2016 6:09:31 PM |

i'm not talking about the injury. I'm speculating about how this will affect his play after the injury and the mental effects.
He trained all summer right? How long will it take him to get back to that level after 2 weeks off? It seems like him being at such a high level before makes it that much less likely for him to recover to where he was. What if he only recovers to last year's mvp level of play? Don't forget he was one of the most improved players in the nba this year.
He basically has to come back and jump right into the spurs defense right away.

Man this sucks, I don't think they get through the clippers now. I'd have them as underdogs in every series from now on assuming they play clippers, spurs, and cavs. 4/25/2016 7:45:36 PM |

I could see them winning in 6 or 7 against the Clippers sans Curry. No way they could beat the Spurs or Cavs without him though.

I don't know, I'd say that CP3 injury gets the Blazers through or a weak clippers and gives golden state a good shot of winning he next round and giving curry time to heal.
If I'm the spurs I'd rather paul be healthy, Blake wasn't gonna stay healthy or be anywhere near 100%

The Clippers are done. Their series with Portland will likely last seven games and then they have to play two in a row at Oracle without CP3 and possibly Blake. They just had their heart ripped out and will fold under the pressure. As a Warriors fan, I'm really hoping to draw them for a quick sweep or 5 game series. Blazers are looking like a much tougher test tbh.
Btw, Kerr wins COY. I think he should have won it last year instead, but anyone that can coach a team to 73 wins is probably a no brainer. 4/26/2016 12:49:23 PM |

I'm pumped about the paul injury. Golden state deserves a fair shot to win the title i don't want an asterisk on them as best team ever.
I'm still not sure he will be healthy enough to get them through the spurs or cavs but at least he probably gets a shot now.
Yeah Portland is clearly better than the clippers now, no question. But either team could win a 3 game series, Portland isn't very good at all. Lillard is the most overrated player in the league he's an awful defender. They are built for the regular season 4/26/2016 1:13:07 PM |

I hate the Clippers as much as anyone, but I really wanted to beat them in the playoffs with both teams at full-strength. This next round is going to suck, aside from Spurs/Thunder. 4/26/2016 5:34:49 PM |

Heat - cavs will be good.
Also, warriors vs Portland will be interesting to see if gsw can stay alive wo curry. They're still so good defensively i think they should but their offense is gonna be a big struggle.
I think spurs will make quick work of okc. 4/26/2016 6:11:26 PM |

Even then, I don't see why people even care at all about any team in the east besides cleveland. No one has a roster to even compete with cleveland in a series and if they somehow pulled the upset, they would be a guaranteed sweep for the spurs/warriors. That whole season has been a formality in the east. 4/26/2016 11:07:15 PM |

The raptors won 56 games. It would be interesting to say the least if they'd lost in the first round again this year.
We got robbed of a really good warriors vs clippers series. If we get robbed of a healthy curry vs spurs this is a travesty, I watched nearly the entire regular season what a waste of time 4/26/2016 11:12:18 PM |

there has never been a series between two teams with that many combined wins. Its not even close. History might tell us these are the greatest two teams to ever play in the same season.
Imagine the jordan bulls vs the 85 celtics or 08 lakers. Those are the type of teams it would take to top the series we are looking forward to. 4/26/2016 11:16:22 PM |

I don't see any way the Clippers win 2 in a row, although it would be great if they could at least win tomorrow to draw out a game seven. Dubs looked nasty last night without Curry. The WCF are going to be epic when he's back. 4/28/2016 10:53:15 AM |

Yeah, they did catch an incredibly lucky break. Hard to imagine Clippers don't beat Portland and maybe GSW with a healthy Paul and Blake.
I still think Portland will push GSW to 6 or 7 with no Curry on the court. Lillard is good enough to win a game or 2 on his own.
Also, doesn't it seems like the Cavs are getting a really long break between rounds. I mean, I know they swept but its going to end up being a full week, right?

Portland strength is their bigs plumlee, aminu, and davis.
But yeah Lillard and McCollum will get hot and win a game or two. It helps a lot that curry is out since Lillard can't guard him
