Agreed Grumpy

Imagine being a police officer and the horrible people you have to deal with day in day out. Some times I want to beat the crap out of people and they are awesome and just annoyed me in a bad way.

Imagine you job is to deal with these awful citizens. Hell, just the awful shit you see. Murders, divorces, assault, rape, and violence. That mess changes you.

NOT justifying it, but a cop who day in and day out deals with this, on top of it this layer of tension from the spot light on cops killing. Hyper sensitive cops are going to to this. There are bad apples in the police, people who like having power. All of this is predictable.

You have to have major major training, counseling, and teaching of the police force and public awareness to deescalate this.

I'm actually surprised casualties were so low. Having said that, the percent of cops hit vs how many were there to begin with is pretty high.

Not to mention, is entities such as isis are calling for attacks like this, wouldn't that make someone hesitate? Your reasons may differ but the end result is the same

Anyways, as far as this military guy...there are gangs that have recruited clean history young men to go into the military so they could get access to weaponry and training. Not saying that's what's up with this guy but it's possible.

This is a sad situation. Unfortunately this is only going to lead to more innocent black people being killed. The more black people continue to retaliate like this and the more they continue to commit crime, the more there will be innocent deaths. I saw an article from about 10 years ago a while back. It said for every 100,000 white people there were under 400 incarcerated. For every 100,000 Hispanics there were around 2,000 incarcerated. For every 100,000 black people there were over 3,000 incarcerated. I also heard 52% of murders are committed by black people. Because of these stats people of all races have the right to fear black people. Someday when the African American race becomes less violent, cops might be less trigger happy around them. I don't know what can be done, but something has to change.

The police in Dallas were doing a stand up job. That was how policing these events is suppose to work. The protests were peaceful. The cops were out there with the people as a community. Much like the March in DC last night.

My statement is the truth though. Obama even mentioned after the Martin shooting in Florida that he had seen white people lock their car doors while driving when he was growing up just because he was black. I'm not afraid of black people, or racist, but don't fool yourself. The high crime rate in the black areas of town and the large number of black people incarcerated can make some people a little nervous around them. The crime rate stats don't lie.
