Where did I blame SJWs or liberals? I'm just pointing out how their narratives either do nothing to help, or only make the problem worse (San Bernardino neighbors didn't report activity).

I only blame Omar Mir Seddique Mateen, his wife, and radical Islamic terrorist groups. I think most Americans would agree with that...

yet the ones throwing around false blame are all from the left...

SJWs are the ones blaming this on guns, American homophobia, "toxic masculinity" (lol)... then any mention of the actual problem *cough* radical islam *cough* is met with "You're Islamaphobic". I missed the last POTUS response, did he cry this time? If only we cared as much as he did. I'm sure he wasted no time politicizing the tragedy and explaining to all the responsible, law abiding gun owners how it is their fault and that they are Islamaphobic if they don't agree.

" Islam, that systematically creates the outcome of terrorism."

you're basing your whole thing on this false statement.

Its apples an oranges for one because we are talking about people committing crimes on the job as part of their job vs on their own free time and for two because we are talking about blaming everyone who enables the criminal. Practicing your faith does not mean you are enabling every criminal who also practices that faith.

"islam" doesn't "do" anything because it is not a centralized organization. We don't look at the justice system and say "man, this is democracy's fault".

I am fucking staying in 'Murica for as long as I can... ain't steppin' in Europe (even though I can live in the UK as my wife is from there), and no fucking way am I going to the Middle East.

Just put in my papers to stay another 2 years here a couple of days ago.

Those assholes refused to grant me a tourist visa about 5 years ago even though I gave documented proof of a stable job, letter from my employer saying I will return, a sizable bank account, and proof of being married to a UK citizen. The reason they gave: They couldn't ascertain whether I would leave the territory after the end of the visa. WTF? Why would I choose to be an illegal resident in a country where I have no connections and do not speak the language when I can easily become a legal resident in a country next door where my wife is from and where I speak the language??? We had so many reservations for trains, B&Bs, and restaurants all over France, many of which could not be cancelled. My wife and daughter ended up going with her mother.

They fucking refused me a visa, but they let so many low-lifes in whose only contribution is to petty crime, drugs, and terrorism. Yes, I know, many were born there.

"no one is talking about the actions of an individual cop. "

I think you are basing your entire thing on this false statement.

If you personally don't care about individual cops for the convenience of this discussion that is fine, but the left/media as a whole certainly do, so the hypocrisy I am calling out remains.

Quote :
" Practicing your faith does not mean you are enabling every criminal who also practices that faith. "

...And again, a cop doing their job does not mean they are enabling every bad cop who also has that profession.

Quote :

I disagree. If an atheist saw violence from any religion and claimed "this is religion's fault" I think that is a fair opinion. If the atheist noticed a specific religion was associated with violence more and specifically called out Islam, I think that is also fair.

I think the same applies when the tone from the left condemns western civilization as a whole for being racist. You can choose to blame cogs in the machine or the machine itself. Either way I think Islam is a cog in the religious wheel the same way the justice system is a cog in the government wheel. I've seen both the cogs and wheels blamed

"The media didn't create the hostile atmosphere" he says as he regurgitates the narrative spoon-fed to him by the liberal media.

"Centuries of cops... being overall corrupt" is quite a stupid statement, and proves my point. I guess if the media only discusses police when a white officer shoots a black felon, then you could come to this ignorant conclusion.

To be fair, part of the blame is on the nature of clickbait media. Racial tension, outrageous viral videos, it gets clicks... unfortunately this leads to an over-representation of extremely rare cases of police brutality. This itself isn't the problem though...

The problem is when a divisive racial element is deliberately exaggerated or even fabricated, and even worse, when it is perpetuated and validated by liberal politicians like the divider-in-chief. Again, I get that liberals have to keep perpetuating this narrative that all black people are victims and 2016 America is racist, it's just sad that all the brain-dead SJWs and other lowest common denominators actually believe these extremely rare cases are:

1. Cause for riots or protests
2. Representative of police or society
3. Proof of racism

If you actually account for violent crime, black people are shot less by cops than white people, but naturally, these facts and statistics ARE RACIST, and if you try to have a reasonable discussion about this with SJWs they don't have a leg to stand on (aka Bleep boop)

Huh? He's referencing colonialism and that isn't vague at all. It's not exactly ancient history when Europe ran roughshod all over Africa and other areas. Is it not interesting to you that all of these attacks in Europe seem to be carried out by French or French colonial nationals?

It always seems crazy to me that there are this many people willing to die and take so many innocent people with them. I guess people commit suicide every day but even those people mostly just want to die themselves not harm others or are hoping their death will harm those they leave behind. It would be silly to think a lot of this doesn't revolve around the media attention they know they will get and that feeling of I am gonna be famous after this even if I am dead. It also makes me wonder how many plots have been planned and didn't happen because the persons conscious ultimately won and they decided against it last minute once they knew they were about to face certain death.

Also, their conscience doesn't come in to play here, because they subscribe to a set of morals laid down in a radical form of religion.

Seems like it's pretty clear via French sources this isn't ISIS directed. They said the terrorist has no known ties to terrorist groups and they have no evidence of radicalization.

Could be found at a later time but that Telegraph link I posted seems to be being slowly confirmed. Still early hours though so certainly an ISIS link isn't off the table.

Maybe I should just post white-guilt HuffingtonPost links and moan about thug-martyrs getting shot by the evil racist white police at a statistically insignificant rate... but who cares if it is statistically insignificant, since when does that matter to the liberal media when they fabricate narratives and race-bait, and since when does that matter to me, a gullible bleeding heart SJW, all I want to do is be outraged and call everyone else racist as I spam links in the echo chamber.
#IStandWithMoron

The only use for telling others to "check their privilege" is for leftist SJWs to silence others, it allows them to virtue signal from their high horse, and place all the blame for any racial disparity on 2016 white people. It's just like the #BLM, and Mizzou Race Hoax demands/protests... when they come to fruition, there is nothing there... a SJW is outraged and demands lip service *gasp*.

Unfortunately for the leftists out there, not everyone lives in their safe space fantasy land... words don't have that much power. They are just words. You can have white people pay lip service aka "check their privilege" 24/7, but that has no effect on actual problems facing poor minorities.

Then again, it isn't about solving any problems, it's about patting yourself on the back and feeling good about yourself, maybe getting some validation from other SJWs in an echo-chamber?

Let's tell poor minorities that success and failure is predetermined by skin color rather than personal choice and responsibility! Sure it won't help the disproportionate % of black highschool dropouts and single mothers, but at least I can demand others pay lip service!

We saw this exact same thing in Sweden and Germany, where police reports were doctored and news deliberately omitted that rapists were Syrian migrants. It goes back to the San Bernardino neighbors reference also... the left has placed muslims at the top of the "victim hierarchy" which has made it politically incorrect to do anything but apologize and cover up for them when they commit crimes. Nobody is telling you to be suspicious of your Muslim friends and acquaintances, that is the stupidest strawman I've heard yet ITT. The people you deem "Islamaphobic" or "bigots" (aka the people with common sense that don't care about your victimhood hierarchy) don't want you to be suspicious of Muslims, they want you to to hold all people to the same standards. That's why I am criticizing the dumbass "Clock boy" narrative, and that's why I'm criticizing the portrayal of USA Mosque vandalism as an epidemic of "Islamaphobia". I'm not suggesting SJWs think we should cover up Muslims raping people, but I am suggesting they are complicit in creating such a backwards, regressive political atmosphere for such shameful cover ups to occur. That's why it is important to differentiate between narrative and reality.

I have a tendency to separate actual problems (Mosque burned) from false-narratives (Ahmmed clock boy, Mizzou protest) - something most TWW liberals cannot differentiate between.

I have a tendency to take all these liberal sob story articles with a grain of salt, because facts and truths are secondary to creating a narrative and pushing an agenda. They only report and sensationalize "stories" where a "tragedy" can be used for political leverage, aka only when the victim narrative is perpetuated. It's slimy, it's dishonest, I don't get how it can be called "journalism". It's the same reason this thread is called "20+ shot near san bernadino planned parenthoof" because liberals are so excited to use tragedy for political points that the truth is a secondary objective. It's all just an attempt to hand pick cases, regardless of statistical or historical significance, stretch the truth to appeal to the emotions of gullible readers that have been in an echo chamber so long they don't even think twice.

That isn't how I "try to minimize it", that is how I try and explain to someone with poor reading comprehension ability such as yourself. Nobody disagrees Islamaphobia or racism exists, but that is such a common straw man response (from you in particular... despite your tendency to call me stupid).

If the "victim's" profile fits the current liberal narrative being pushed, the liberal media will hype it up, tell you to be outraged, then you get your panties in a bunch and start spamming hashtags to show how much you "care". I'm sure there have been several churches/temples/synagogues burnt in addition to the 1 mosque burnt this past year. Does pointing this out mean I hate Muslims or think Islamaphobia doesn't exist? No, it means I am trying to put things in perspective rather than getting outraged because the HuffingtonPost told me to.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/07/15/who-is-the-nice-terror-attacker-everything-we-know-so-far/

Quote :
"French television station BFM TV reported that he was a divorced father-of-three who had become depressed following the breakdown of his marriage.

Police raided his flat, where he reportedly lived alone, in the Abattoirs area of Nice on Friday morning.
...
Neighbours described Bouhel as a depressed – sometimes aggressive – man who was not particularly interested in religion, and kept to himself.

They said that he had been unhappy since he divorced his wife two years ago, and that he suffered from financial problems.

Those who lived near him said he had been "depressed and unstable, even aggressive" of late. They put this down to his "marital and financial problems".

One told BFM TV he was "more into women than religion".

"He (didn't) pray and like(d) girls and Salsa," according to BFM's crime correspondent.

One 40-year-old neighbour, who would only give her first name Jasmine, said: "He was rude and bit weird.

"We would hold the door open for him and he would just blank [us]. He kept himself to himself but would always rant about his wife. He had marital problems and would tell people in the local cafe. He scared my children though."

She added: "He was very smart with the same haircut as George Clooney."

Another neighbour, Sébastien, said he "didn't have the appearence of a religious person and was often in shorts, sometimes wearing 'security' shoes".

Anan, who also lived near him, said she found him shifty but described him as "a good-looking man who eyed-up my two girls too much".

One resident told the Telegraph: "He was quiet and moody. I did not know whether he was a Muslim. I think he had a motorbike."

A woman living in the same block said: "I hardly knew him, but from what I could see he seemed very weird. He lived alone. He said very little to anyone and wasn’t very polite. He wouldn’t hold the door open for you."

He was known to the police for assault with a weapon, domestic violence, threats and robbery but had no previous convictions for terrorism.

Investigating sources said his last appearance in a criminal court was as recent as March, and he had previous convictions for armed theft, conjugal violence and threatening behaviour..

According to BFMTV he had also recently caused an accident after falling asleep at the wheel while working as a delivery driver, and was taken into custody following the incident."

Maybe this is a little too paranoid, but it is possible that ISIS is directing its members to seem to distance themselves from religion in order to stay under the radar.

Is the best indicator to determine likelihood of police interaction. Wealth is the primary factor, not skin color. Poor people are more likely to run from police. I know this is a victory for body cameras on all cops no exceptions. I'm sure this video would have gone viral if perhaps a white student was victimizing the black teacher, or if an evil racist white police at a statistically insignificant rate... but who cares if it is statistically insignificant, since when does that matter to me, a gullible bleeding heart SJW, all I want to do is break another man's car and threaten them with an ice pick, but some 2nd amendment gun nut decided to terrorize this poor victim his his assault pistol... If only we could take all the guns away from cops, then America would be safer. Why do we even have cops, all they do is execute black people because they are racist, right? #BLM #IStandWithIcePickMan #IStandWithOrlando Funny how requesting specific evidence to substantiate broad, vague claims of victimhood results in the you're a racist comeback. SJWs are such a fragile breed... must be hard inventing so much victimhood... I can see why reason and logic would upset you. Mandatory body cameras on cops. That one was just for you. My favorite phrase is white-guilt, feel-good, huffingtonpost liberal echo-chamber currently. If only the racist government stopped forcing poor people to have children at age 15. Black lives matter... and so do police orders. The cop asked for his license and he handed him a 40 oz. lmao As I said earlier, standardized high school tests, high school graduation rates... high school diplomas are not a white privilege. If you don't put in the minimal work to graduate public high school, you can't point fingers at others and blame privilege as the reason you aren't where you want to compare and start the us vs them narrative. I'm still trying to decipher what in the fuck the author was trying to cause a bomb scare. No charges were made. The teacher told him it looked like a bomb and told him to put it away. He had the alarm go off during class.

Religiosity is probably a negative predictor for personally wanting to commit violence*, the kind of person who would commit this kind of violence would more likely be someone who is emotionally unstable.

* probably has no bearing on supporting other violent people though

Doesn't seem all that odd to me. They didn't really make any claims about Orlando until after the 911 call info was out if I recall correctly.

They've been encouraging members and supporters not to contact them for direction, to help avoid having plots thwarted.

This also comes after several people were detained in Nice as part of investigation so maybe they didn't want to expose operatives who were still in play there.

This isn't weeks later, it's what, 40 hours after the event.
