At first I thought it was a good idea but not if there are no qbs remaining. Maybe it would have been ok in a 10 team league but theres a reason every other league only has 1 qb and defense per week and its because there is only 1qb that plays most of the season for most teams. 2x14=28 which pretty much takes all of the "decision making" out of the equation when it comes to qb. Everyone will just play the 2 qbs they have and see what happens.

the TEs and the defenses are possibly more important in this league that the QBs are. I had full intentions of taking Jordan Reed with my third pick after drafting Gronk 1st overall, but he got taken 2 picks earlier and I ended up with CJ Anderson instead.

At least there's no risk of a defense ending up on IR, but there are going to be weeks where there are only 24 defenses playing football total. You effectively have to use 3 bench spots for a defense, TE, and QB, since there won't be any left by week 5. Or, maybe trade your way into having your entire team on bye the same week and just take the loss.

i must say the player bonuses are pretty ridiculous and only further inflate players who had big games.

points accumulate exponentially after a certain points. score 4 tds and you get the 4tds points but guess what? heres 8 free points just because you already have a bunch of points.

the bonuses encourage starting players with high ceilings instead of low floors, and it's what makes this league great.

maybe it would be great in a different format (less teams, or 1 of each starter instead of 2) but in the current format theres just not enough players to go around. theres never going to be waivers for defenses and qbs.

most of the players who started will start for the entire season because theres just not that much flexibility or choice in who you have on your roster or who you start.

in a standard league, theres literally enough players where you could play a competitive team off of only waivers. thats what makes fantasy football great.

This league is just different E-man. Doesn't make it shitty that it requires a completely different strategy. The draft is ridiculously important in a league like this. Be patient with your team and maybe it'll work out. Otherwise start looking at some trade options. Best thing about this league is that it will be super competitive just like last year.

I'm in 3 leagues and this is the one I care the least about, mostly because there's not much you can do when one TE is hurt and the other is on a bye week, because you literally have 5 options on who to pick up and none are worth dropping any of the 4 bench players you have left because you know you need them next week when half of your team is on BYE.

yeah no offense but this is the dumbest league i've ever seen. i'm still setting my lineup but made some drafting mistakes and 90% of this league was draft and then i was turned off when i found out about the bonuses which don't make any sense.

I love this setup due to the 2TE and 2DEF positions. Most other leagues allow you to stream QBs and defenses while fighting over WR/RB positions; this league is the exact opposite. Unfortunately we had a few people quit this year, so my QB hoarding strategy isn't really working like I'd hoped.

^The QB and DEF is what I dislike the most. There are only 30 defenses and 30 QBs expected to start. We each have 2 leaving only 6 each week not set as starters. Weeks 8 & 9 each have 6 teams on bye weeks.

So while good drafting could carry you through, this league relies more on week-by-week luck than any I've ever played in. Maybe the person you're up against has all of their starters this week, maybe they have a QB, a TE, and a DEF on bye weeks with no valid options to pick up.

There is only 1 DEF available right now which isn't on a bye week, and there are no QBs available who are expected to start.

I should mention that I have 3 D's and 4 QB's, and would gladly make a trade for a TE worth a damn.

TEs are the most valuable position in this entire league. There's only about 10 in the entire league that are worth a damn, and after that it's a crapshoot. I burnt my first and third draft picks on the TE position and still didn't get real production out of them until week 5.

FYI, you do have an IR slot that you could place Roethlisburger in and pick up someone else if you needed to. Or, you could stash Dwayne Allen in IR and hope for an injury to Jack Doyle.
