It's nice and compact, very sleek looking. Doesn't have big nacelles awkwardly jutting out of it. Of the Starfleet ships it's probably the nicest looking one.

I'd still take a Romulan or Klingon ship over the defiant though.

just came to the beginning of the dominion war in my latest go around, man that scene where they all realize at the station that a dominion fleet is imminent is pretty intense, obrien simply says something like "the dominion they're coming..."

also interesting they go through periods where I was thinking dukat wasn't actually that bad a guy to thinking he's scum

Just finished the last episode before the finale.

It seems like the last half of this season that the writers tried to cram a shit ton of stuff into these episodes. Like they knew they were done and wanted to put every single idea they ever had into the last ten episodes.

Well they did know it was going to be the final season, that's a big part of a reason why Dax1 wanted to leave and get a new job since the show was ending.

^Yeah I know they exist outside of linear time and all but the fact that they didn't know a thing about humans or sisko when they met him in season 1 has always seemed like a huge plot hole since they supposedly see past present and future all at once.

And it's completely pointless to the whole emissary story arc. There was no reason he had to be conceived by one of them to be the emissary. It's a stupid, stupid idea and i hate them for putting it in the show.
