Yep. Although a contributing factor in the Overland Park fires is shake roofing, which used to be standard code due to its resilience to hail apparently.

I wonder if the combo of these two massive blazes in a short time will have folks rethink the construction process for these units. They are very popular and look good when they are done, but damn if they aren't a tinderbox while under construction.
