^^ man, you're inferring a lot more about my previous and current relationship than I posted. You should stop doing that.

To be clear, I'm not really asking for advice in this thread, and will probably never seek relationship advice from banjo of all people. I'm just asking for your thoughts and opinions. I mean, in all honesty, the necessary decisions have already been made.... I posted this thread to give you cunt scabs on a dying message board something to actually talk about. Lord knows you lurking-ass grundle-sniffers aren't capable of posting entertaining content on your own.

ehh. i can't speak for anybody else's relationship, but the current relationship is probably more important than making sure the dog has 3 caring/loving owners instead of just 2 (i assume his current gf cares about the dog too). it's not like we're talking about abandoning the dog and leaving it to die. by every indication the dog is getting perfectly adequate care and love with or without the ex. in this situation, allowing the ex to see the dog seems like it's more for the benefit of the ex than the dog.

already been pointed out that she can't have dogs in her building...so it's not that easy, especially for an entire weekend.

The moral of this story is do not get a joint pet with a person you are in a relationship with unless you are married at least or its very clear who's pet it actually is in the event of a split.

Listen, I do have respect for EMCE as he's had my back before, but the solution here is so easy that it is hard to rule out a small dose of maliciousness.

If she does care about the dog and wants to see it, all that she has to do is pick it up at an arranged time and then drop it off. You two don't even have to speak to each other.

You think the solution is easy because you have a child's mind. You describe something in one sentence and mistake it for something simple. "Why don't you just," "I don't see why you couldn't," etc. It's because your thoughts are too shallow to grasp what you're trying to talk about.

"An arranged time," as if it's a magical spell that crystallizes this appointment out of ether without human intervention, as if EMCE and his ex need never speak, as if plans can't change, as if the unexpected can't happen, as if one agreement will forever stand inviolate, you fucking baby thoughts motherfucker.

Then you--failing to understand a fucking thing about human beings, their relationships, and the relative worth of an animal--want to imagine "a small dose of maliciousness," as if through the fog of your fucking ignorance you glimpsed the outline of a thing you can't comprehend, and malice is the only explanation you can conjure from the numb asshole of your consciousness, you fool, you idiot.

People do this shit all the time. EMCE isn't the first guy to have a dog caught in the middle of a breakup. Besides, as a previous dog owner and dog lover, who the hell is against somebody coming to your house and taking your dog out for a good 4 hours of exercise?

This could have been a lot worse.

Imagine if the dog had an ex- or current-gf who was owned by the current-gf's ex-bf or the ex-gf's ex-bf (prior to EMCE) or current-bf, and the two dogs had to see each other at least once a week for some sexy time. Imagine trying to coordinate the pick-ups and drop-offs then, huh!

One thing, I don't know why
It doesn't even matter how hard you try
Keep that in mind
I designed this rhyme
To remind myself of a time when
I tried so hard
In spite of the way you were mocking me
Acting like I was part of your property
Remembering all the times you fought with me
I'm surprised it got so
Things aren't the way they were before
You wouldn't even recognize me anymore
Not that you knew me back then
But it all comes back to me in the end
You kept everything inside
And even though I tried, it all fell apart
What it meant to me will eventually be a memory of a time when
