Clemson scored 1 point in 5 mins. We managed to only go on a 8-1 run in the span, and that included a missed front end of 1&1 by Braxton and I think 2 made FTs from Funderburk. In other words, I believe we only made 3 FGs in that 5 mins where they made 0. That’s bad. Then we follow it up with a 4 minute scoring drought of our own.

Dorn, Daniels, Braxton, Walker all playing like ass.

Dorn is clearly pressing because no one else is doing jack shit. There is a lot of blame to go around. Markell made a bunch of terrible passes. Keatts is getting thoroughly outcoached by Brownell. We didn't try hard enough to get the ball into Funderburk despite all of Clemson's bigs getting into foul trouble. Beverly and Walker don't know when to switch on screens and Clemson took advantage of it constantly.


in conclusion, that was a really awful display of basketball.

I will say that it seems like racking wins against trash teams seems to have become an athletic department directive and it’s not really translating into success against top teams once we play them on conference

Agree with everything else. That last possession was miserable. Also did we draw a single foul after getting in the double bonus? Feel like the refs helped us out with some soft calls and we're still down 16

Yeah Dorn is definitely pressing. And he’s not the type of a player you want pressing. He’s much bettter when he plays within himself.

Walker is another example of keatts being too stubborn. Letting the worse center soak a few minutes to start halves isn’t a terrible strategy to stop your guy from picking up ticky tack fouls before refs calm down, but you gotta adjust that shit by the situation

Just going to point out that Clemson has lost an insane number of close games this year (ours included), in part because Brownell is a terrible coach, but also they’re probably due to hit a bullshit shot at the buzzer just out of fluke luck at this point, so if we’re going to do this, let’s get ahead by a couple possessions
