What a crazy game. I agree it’s amazing when the coordinator actually lets the ball be thrown downfield good things can happen. Morris does have a funky throw but it seems to work.

So it seems like Morris is definitely better than Chambers. Did the coaches not know this until this week? I assume because Morris had so much less college football experience, that's why the coaches wanted to give him some more time?

Yeah I gotta assume it was just lack of experience. True freshman, and he didn’t enroll early. But Chambers had also only been here since the summer.

He’s a got a funky motion that I think needs work to get the ball out quicker (I’m a QB expert).

I still think we’d need to go after a QB in the portal assuming Leary is gone. Because next year true freshman Lex Thomas would be the only back up for MJ Morris (or I guess Leary could return for his final year and back up Morris?)

I legit think they thought Chambers gave us the best chance to win. However, MJ is clearly better and if he's the future, with DL coming back or not(a lot of takes on him transferring last night in the stadium) you have to throw him in the fire.

There was a palpable change in energy right near the end of Q3 and going into Q4. Went from despondent, inconsolable, palpable sadness to a pretty high-energy situation shockingly fast. Anyone in the stands could tell as soon as we made it 10-21 it felt like there was never a doubt about how the game would end. I really can't explain it cause everything we'd put out so far should've told us not to get our hopes up, but it worked out

We made it 10-21 and I was like we Gott this. Think it took a little while for Morris to get comfortable. And I think the offense finally scoring gave our defense some much needed energy.

I still think the interior of the O-Line is an issue pressure straight up the middle for a lot of the game. No push to open holes for inside runs.

^ VT did get a lot of pressure, but I think their idea was that if they just blitzed every down Morris was too green to handle it well. Worked at first, but he started getting the groove of things as the game went on

^^Well yes the biggest issue is Tim Beck.

Amazing what happens when you allow your QBs to through deep passes it makes the defense spread out more. I get that MJ is a True Freshman and only been through 1 camp. He looks to be a pretty good QB that will definitely get better with more time but we have to be able to throw the ball down field that opens up the run game and the short to intermediate passing. Hopefully the final quarter and a half is the beginning of the team trusting their new QB to throw the ball deep.

Wake and UNC won’t be easy, I just don’t think we can score enough to keep up. But BC sucks. And UL is decent at best.
