I've watched 4 plays and he has held on to the ball way too long, ran and got asked because he didn't throw to a hot route on a blitz. The guy just sucks! It's hard to blame anyone else at this point. Defenses don't respect his ability to do anything so they can load up to stop the run early and then just blitz the hell out of him on obvious passing downs. Oh well, at least they own their first round pick this year so they can draft Grayson McCall.

I think a lot of problems would be solved by having a non-terrible QB. Their defense, IDK they had some promising players they just let walk away last offseason, not to mention their complete bungling of Brian Burns.

Expecting this front office to do anything remotely smart to put together a good football team is an exercise in futility. That said, Bryce Young has proven he is not an NFL QB. He is inaccurate. He doesn't see blitzes. He holds on to the ball way too long. It's like he's expecting his receivers to have multiple yards of separation before he throws it, which just doesn't happen in the NFL. Good thing he has a fully guaranteed contract.

I think there's something to be said that this entire team has no faith in Young and it affects the play/effort of every player on the team.

^^ yeah it’s a terrible situation for a young/rookie QB. There’s no supporting cast. There’s no defense to lean on. Complete failure of ownership and front office to be in this position.

It’s fine if you draft the wrong QB and Young busts. Whatever. But the situation he was in seemed doomed from the beginning.

Yeah hiring Reich was a disaster. He took a team built for power running and tried to make them a speedy/spread offense with the same personnel and an inaccurate rookie QB.
