^^euro fans would likely win no matter what but copa fans have travel much farther, both from original countries and between game locations, and Euro also has functioning train/public transport systems.

Not sure if conmebol or the venues price the tickets for Copa, but we have found an astounding lack of priorities when it comes to filling up the stadium. My sons and I looked into getting tickets and they were $200+ per ticket and then to later watch 2/3 full stadiums on tv, it pisses me off.

US Soccer does the same thing. They outprice their fans and then play in half-full stadiums.

There was a power point slide from a us soccer exec meeting that was leaked last year that was essentially bragging about selling fewer tickets while generating more revenue.

That Uruguay/Columbia game was pretty fun (except the long pauses).

I wish they showed more of the skirmishes after the game. Apparently Suarez and other teamates entered the stands and were swinging at coumbia-supporters, supposedly trying to get their families out of the stand and away from the

Maybe I'm biased now vs these copa refs but last night was another where the ref seemed like he wasn't controlling. The guy that got a red seemed to stay on the field arguing for a long time. Although I guess in a tournament like this, what other punishment can you even threaten??

Messi went down at the boards then rolled all the back on the field lmao. I love soccer but man antics like that are so lame.

What an absolute shitshow the gates were at the final last night. Thousands of ticket holders were denied entrance after fans bumrushed the gates and overwhelmed security. Luckily noone was hurt, but there were apparently unticketed fans jumping fences, climbing in through vents and all manner of nonsense. It's actually kind of a miracle that there wasn't a serious incident.
