Offensive weapons are an upgrade for sure. Joly looks legit. KC is still the man. Rogers flashed. Terrell Anderson physically looks the part already even as a freshman. OL and D are concerning still.

Offense was bad last year that even upgrading the skill positions might take us only from bad to just average.

Offense would have looked a lot better if McCall didn't miss a handful of relatively easy throws. Can't blame the OL for him just missing guys without heavy pressure.

Defense was uhhh not great but also the western QB is legit. Not ideal when your MLB goes out super early on a dumb penalty. I guess he decided to take up the mantle of both Wilson and Ingle in the bonehead department.

I haven’t seen an arm this weak for State since Finley but he managed to do pretty good so I hope McCall can. Really inaccurate so hope that was a one game fluke. The oline for about the 4th year in a row can’t run block. Seems like ever since that o-line coach went to Louisville we have sucked at running. In good news Concepcion is still a star.

He generally seemed to make the right read, he was just either late or inaccurate a good bit, Hopefully that gets ironed out soon.

Just got back from the game.

The Lightning delay bothered us obviously as we came out slow. Typical DD first game...come out slow and sloppy.


DLine looks small, maybe they're fast and strong, but it's notable.

Grayson your ass better McCall Somebody needs more zip on his balls, has good touch but some of them are just pillows and they end up getting there late (inaccurate)

Hockman was a bad QB. Like on the level with Marcus Stone and Harrison Beck bad. He tried, but he was just plain not good. I mean he quit football because he got benched at MTSU 3 games into the season.
