Losing is whatever. I think we all knew in the offseason that the realistic goal was to play for the ACC title and this game doesn’t have any impact on that. Getting our ass kicked sucks.

Having 0 positive momentum and the offense looking completely lost after two games after an offseason of hyping up our new weapons is pretty disappointing.

The offense clearly and sorely lacked weapons last year. It was ugly but kinda made chicken salad out of chicken shit. In hindsight maybe we should’ve questioned Anae more, idk. This year we aren’t starting with chicken shit ingredients. Even if McCall sucks, if these weapons are half as good as advertised we should be able to look somewhat interesting offensively.

That is concerning.

I know it’s unrealistic to expect the offense to go from terrible to awesome in one season. But going from terrible to just average is a reasonable thing to expect. But we’ve got a ways to go to get to average

After 2 weeks, offense is garbage, just like last year Concepcion is the only good player. So tired already of hearing how many career starts our O-line has, they are awful and can’t run block at all. McCall is garbage, can we get any of our money back? He looks scared like the stage is way too big for him. Anae is garbage play caller, never throws downfield, not sure if him or lack of arm strength for McCall. No one on the defense is even close to making up for losing Wilson from last year. Other than that things are really looking good, ACC title all the way.

The frustrating thing is…I don’t think KC is our only good player. Offense should be better. I’m not saying we got an offense full of 1st rounders. But the weapons are a clear upgrade over 2023. And we still struggle to do anything

If I had to choose between losing to Tennessee and losing to Clemson, I'd definitely pick losing to muh Vawls. We just have to beat Clemson. Should be a cake walk!

He does not look good at all…I think that injury messed him up more than has been led on (either physically in the head and/or he’s playing differently because he’s scared to get popped again). That, or he just wasn’t that great to begin with? I’m sure Lex Thomas would put up Monstar numbers too if he were in the Sunbelt Conf padding his stats against powerhouses like Texas State every week

McCall was good at Coastal, far better than Lex Thomas would be at the level. Different competition level, of course, so who knows how it translates. And maybe part of it was Chadwell’s offense, idk. But yeah. He sucks right now.

I hope Bailey sticks around and is good. Playing transfer roulette at QB position every offseason is very risky. I know the portal is part of the game now. But hopefully we can get back to developing the position and have some stability there.
