i aint callin names, you started.
but, weve all bluffed with less at some point in time. But with the flush draw and the board pair, it could have bit you on the ass. You were playing against a pushover, which helped you out.
I restate my point, it was an OK hand, but not that special. Glad it worked for you though.

Anyone else going to be in the ACC Championship final event on Thursday? Equivilent of the biggest entry I've ever had, by far ($2607.14 per person, 28 people, 10 payouts but extremely top-heavy), an I'm nervous as hell. It's a little wierd for me, never been nervous going into an event before, and kind of having a hard time with it. Hopefully I'll be over it by tomorrow. 3/2/2005 11:57:06 AM |

Oh, they're incredible odds, and I made money over the course of the qualifiers either way... Still, it's four times as big as the next biggest buyin I've ever played in. If they just offered me the 2500-ish (it's 29 players, not 28; evidently they decided to round up the 20%) I'd take it in a heartbeat. Have to get at least fourth to match it, after all. 3/3/2005 5:40:58 AM |

Very few things put me on tilt anymore, but getting sucked out on by a maniac after you've been patiently waiting for a hand to double through him will do it.
This idiot was raising $20 preflop every other hand for no apparent reason, except of course the whopping $1.50 pay off when everyone folded
so after a few rounds of leaking blinds I catch some kings:

The prize pool wasn't entered in that. As for the 66 people... They made a last minute change in who qualified, going against their published rules. I wasn't exactly happy about it, but they gave the people who earned their bids 1000 bodog points and there's not a whole shitload I can do about it. Busted out fairly early (about 50 minutes in) after a disappointing run the whole time, ran into ks when I got too aggressive with qs. Ah, well. My tendancy to have stupid hands like that is why I have three times the number of final tables in limit mtts in about a third the entries, though my only win in a big one (100+) was in NL. 3/4/2005 6:33:51 AM |

they immediately deposit 75 in your account, once you confirm it (takes about 2 days) if you lose it you don't have to repay it, if you actually play 500 hands with it then you can withdraw the money and they give you a 25 bonus.

Hah, so last weekend I bought $25 into Ultimate Bet just to screw around with and win a little spending money. Played for about 3 hours and ended up making $150. Funniest thing happend in one of the .50/$1 games I was playing in though. We were at a 6 seated table, and there was a guy who sat down with $45 in front of him. The whole time we were playing, he was absolutely horrible, calling everything hoping to get lucky and catch. Finally he got down to around his last $10, and got into a raising match with another chick at the table before the flop. The two of them ended up max betting before the flop ($2 each) and the flop came out Q - 8 - 7. Again this guy starts to raise back and forth with the chick, so being the smart ass I am, I said "Man, your A-8 is pretty good, but her KQ is going to destroy you, you should probably stop betting and fold now" (mind you, I had been talking alot of crap to him throughout the time we were playing just to get him angry). So he proceeds to tell me to "Shove it, you dont know what you are talking about". Well, he continues to raise back and forth with the chick til he is all in (think it was $9.50 or something only). the final layout on the table was Q - 8 - 7 - 2 - K. He shows his A-8, she shows her KQ. It was hilarious, this guy was so angry he refused to leave the table and ended up staying around observing and talking crap to everyone while we had a good laugh at his expense. Gotta love when you put people on their exact hands and can rub it in like that
