I'm on of three teachers at my school. The other two are roommates and had a falling out the other week. Now, one of them sleeps at the school and leaves a fucking mess everyhwere.
I'm the boss of that school and told him to clean his shit up. I don't have a problem with him sleeping there if you can't tell that he is (no trash, nothign moved around, etc.) but i do have a problem with shit being everywhere. 5/23/2008 7:09:50 PM |

I used to work with someone like that. It was really annoying. Just be glad you don't live with someone who does it 5/24/2008 1:40:39 AM |

I'm not quite sure why when you're "punishing" a student you would allow them to walk out of the office and body slam other teachers. And then let them get away with it.

Department Admin: "I have a bunch of cd's full of pictures, and I need to know how to pull certain ones off of them and put them all on one cd"
Me: "Well, ya see...you stack all the cd's on top of each other and then you put something realllllly heavy on top of them to smush them all together....just kidding. You just drag the photos into a folder on your desktop and copy that folder to a cd....I'll help you burn the folder to a cd when you're done."

in a nutshell, he sent out this e-mail to the whole office pointing out "50 lies told by Obama" throughout the course OF HIS LIFE. First of all, who HASN'T told 50 lies in their lifetime. But I digress.
So, I REPLIED TO ALL BITCHES with the death toll numbers from the war in Iraq, pointing out that they are almost equal to the death tolls from 9/11 and Katrina combined. And basically said that Bush's one lie that put us in Iraq trumps any lies told by any other politicians. Then I pointed out that McCain wants to continue the Bush policies regarding Iraq and other issues. It's way longer than that, but that is the gist. I'll see if I can copy and paste

Here is my e-mail response that I sent to the whole office.
Quote : | "American Military Casualties in Iraq American Deaths Since war began (3/19/03): 4084 Since "Mission Accomplished" (5/1/03) (the list) 3945 Since Capture of Saddam (12/13/03): 3623 Since Handover (6/29/04): 3225 Since Election (1/31/05): 2647
Just as a comparison: Lives lost in the terrorist attacks on 9/11 = 2,752; Lives lost in Katrina = 1,836. As you can see, the American Casualty count in Iraq is nearing that of 9/11 and Katrina COMBINED. All of these casualties caused by lies and deceit, while Osama Bin Laden (the person responsible for attacking us in the first place) still roams free and taunts us. John McCain wishes to continue the policies and actions of GWB. As far as I am concerned, that is WAY more concerning than republican propaganda pointing out 50 lies that a politician has told. Let me emphasize that: POLITICIAN. I am quite certain with about 2 hours of research I can point out 50 lies told by just about every politician in Washington DC." |

i just started a new job last week, and all ready the lady on the other side of my cube is pissing me off with her incessant calls to her husband every day. and she always does the speakerphine dial too. i decided to keep count today and the final tally that i actually took note of was 19 times. i'm sure there were more that i missed while i was away from my desk. i wouldn't mind it so much if she would use her indoor voice, but the conversation escalates into an argument almost every time. the conversation usually goes something like this:
click berrrrrrnnnnnn bep bep bep beeeeeep bep bep bep beeep beeep beeeeep lady: hey, what are you doing? husband: ... lady: why didn't you do that earlier? husband: ... lady: what do you mean you didn't have time? husband: ... lady: Well, YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT IT WAS COMING UP. WHY DO YOU ALWAYS WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE TO DO THIS? husband: ... lady: I DON'T CARE, THAT'S NOT MY PROBLEM. WHY AM I ALWAYS THE ONE THAT HAS TO REMEMBER DO THIS STUFF!?!? I SWEAR, ITS LIKE I'M LIVING WITH A 2 YEAR OLD husband: ... lady: WHATEVER, YOU JUST SIT THERE ON THE COUCH AND WATCH YOUR PRECIOUS HDTV, BECAUSE APPARENTLY THAT MATTERS TO YOU. I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS. BYE!!!!! [click]
i don't know why, but this pisses me off beyond belief.

^ It should. Personal stuff needs to stay personal. If she's got time to be calling her husband 19 times a day, then she doesn't have time to be doing her job.
I am pretty irritated because we are gearing up to hand off this project to a client's internal team by the end of June, and the team we trained hasn't picked up any of the work, is nowhere to be found, and we're getting literally slagged with more and more work each day.
The funny thing is, we're consultants, and once the quarter is over, so is the contract, and the client is the one setting themselves up for failure.
I keep telling myself it'll all be better in just 4 weeks time....

holy crap
we have an event starting at 7.
People are calling, asking for directions, because they're all out-of-towners. They were told 6. This event doesn't even have space reserved until 7.
It's a step up from last year: They sent everyone here, had no reservation, set-up - nothing. We had literally no contact with the coordinators of this event. So that day, I had some 60 people show up, asking about an event that none of my bosses knew about, no one had a phone number for the people they were working with (some underprivileged educational thing, as best I can guess), and spazzing because no one they've worked with before is around. 6/2/2008 4:52:48 PM |

now i really dig having a monster window in my office
i really dig that there are trees and shit
why i dont dig is that the designated smoking area is ~15 feet from where my window is, i'm the 2nd office from that exit
and the last few days ive turned around to have a person standing behind me, outside the window, kickin' it with my squirrels
i'd prefer to not have to keep my blinds down to keep some privacy.. i keep my door open, that should be plenty
