Yeah the skorp does kind of shine in hardcore mode far more than normal. The range doesn't hurt it nearly as bad when you can keep yourself in medium/short range firefights.

I still prefer the AK74su right now over the others... it just seems to be the most versatile right now of the SMGs for normal/hardcore and it fits a lot of the competition rules nicely.

it's kinda hard to make myself use an SMG when I can use the g36c and still have great range. The only think I don't like about the g36c are the sights, and even those aren't THAT bad...but it does hinder the weapon...other than that it seems perfect IMO

yeah g36 sights arent great, but i was using it silenced without major issues for a bit. easier with red dot admittedly, but being that it doesnt have a huge clip, its nice to have the benefits of the silencer so you can reload without someone raping you right away.

^^ it's just hard to "snipe" from far away b/c the reticle system covers up such a large area...know what I'm saying? finer shots are made harder when sniping with the g36c, but I still love it and find it hard to use ANY other weapon...I just got the m14 so I've started building it up and I really like the power, and just got the red dot so I just may be sniping with it...

In my attempts at unlocking all of the challenges... I started from the top of each category and went down.

When I got to the g36c I actually stuck with it until I completed the entire challenge for it... I loved the gun. However... since moving to the M4 in hardcore mode, I can never go back. My guns of choice right now are the as follows:

Normal mode: (red dot + stopping power perk)
M16
AK74su

Hardcore mode: (red dot + double tap perk)
M4
AK74su

I really don't deviate outside of those unless I want to snipe or work on a challenge... but I've gotten to the point where I really don't care about the challenges much

I used to play as the pure silent type, running around with dead silence and UAV jammer at all times... but I've really found that it doesn't matter a whole lot. Most of the people I play with use a UAV jammer so I have made a habit of checking all corners of an area/room and I know the maps well enough to quickly aim at the common hiding/camping spots anyway. If they throw up a UAV and can see me... I usually welcome it and unless I am going up against terrible odds and trying to run to an objective as the last man alive in S&D... it rarely hurts me.

not yet...beat it on hardened but you have to have a near-flawless run to beat it on veteran

i'm still having trouble with my "Take out a helicopter with an RPG in the single player mode" achievement

I keep restarting the 'Game Over' mission where you are in the back of the jeep most of the time and you get an RPG and a chopper is chasing you but I just can't hit it

i did that achievement in the mission 'War Pig'... two (maybe 3?) enemy helos drop guys off behind the bus and there are some RPGs nearby you can use on them before they leave.

i had a 22:0 or 23:0 round one time...i was sharp all game...i believe it was the board with the hill of garbage in the middle, and there is a bus you can get on, and a few cargo containers, and the kitchen/restaurant type buildings on the left side from the start...just started picking people off...had the UAV for about 2 seconds before i got my 1st air strike...when i ran out of ammo on my first weapon i ran and picked up another AR...could've probably gotten about 30 kills but i was like "oh shit i have over 20 kills and no deaths" and started to be less aggressive...regular team deathmatch btw

^ yeah...I really don't like the lack of range on the smg's...it just doesn't fit to my playing style, so I always suck when I'm trying to max out a weapon like the skorpion or uzi...mp5/ak74 I actually really liked playing with and maxed out fast as hell weird
