haha, yeah, I conveniently did that. You caught me in a big one that time!!!

once again, you know exactly what I'm talking about. It's not like Britney Spears was a corporate entity or anything. She was a real artist!

The republicans do have Ted Nugent though. And ever country artist. So maybe the actual percentage is like 97%

i think we can all agree that there are some talented artists that we might agree or disagree with politically, and there are some retarded "artists" like britney spears and kanye

well yeah, but that still doesn't change the fact that most artists are liberal. I mean, I'm not saying anything groundbreaking here people

im surprised more rappers arent conservative:

- they love guns
- they're rich (high tax bracket, even though drug money is tax free!)

really, the only people you are talking about are a few notables from a while ago. I don't really see that as anything to blow my horn about.

well you're an idiot then. I could name as many as you'd like but I have a feeling you're just trolling. Why do you think the republicans can't find any musicians to back them besides country artists? Is that just a coincidence?

saying that artists are 9 times out of ten liberal is a pretty safe bet. I'm not sure how you can really argue that man

well, if liberals control the industry, which they must if they are 99% of the artists...

again, though, I'd say that it's because those who actually understand the world are out, you know, using their understanding of the world. Those who don't, well, they sing about it and hope someone will hand them some change on the sidewalk.

but really, what's the fucking point? Who gives a shit if "artists" are liberal? Do I need to bow down, once again, to the cult of personality and fame? is that it? Do I need to listen to Susan Sarandon as she cries about that poor polar bear on the edge of the piece of ice looking all sad (even though he can swim, and he has plenty of ice elsewhere) because she can read someone else's words? Do I need to listen to the Dixie Chics cause they can play a guitar? Do I need to listen to Bob Marley cause he can smoke some weed?

^yep, you're so right. that was such a profound statement. art hasn't been a centerpiece of every culture throughout history or anything. you are truly wise.

and I don't really understand the first part of what you said

^no, you don't. I simply stated they're all liberal and you wanted to argue.

the fact that you want to downgrade bob marley's message because he smoked weed is fairly juvenile and sounds like something that someone who doesn't understand art would say. And this is coming from someone who doesn't listen to bob marley.

you are making me wetter by the minute... OH BABY!

but seriously, why should I care? That's all I'm asking. I know Marley did more than smoke weed. But there's more artists than just Bob Marley. So, why should I care if they are liberal, when the overwhelming majority of them aren't. doing. shit.?

ahaha. I can't stand either of those. However, I enjoy bluegrass and classical music. Classical like Bach. Who would Bach vote for?

i've used the second photograph from that site on a web page before

it was far easier than setting up a photoshoot and paying people for their time

it's the way graphic design works

^ You would think the RNC would be sensitive to this kind of thing though, and realize people are going to call them out. It shouldn't be hard for THEM to find some blacks and snap a few pictures.

In any case, I realize this kind of thing happens constantly (there's probably more than one stock photo in democrat ads), but I couldn't find any reports of the Democrts doing the same thing.

Also, on a completely separate issue, this sentiment REALLY echoes the past few years under Bush:

Quote :
"A John McCain campaign aide tells Jay Carney that she sees no reason why Sarah Palin should have to answer reporters' queries
"

They just want to talk to Palin like they've been doing to all the other candidates. It's like McCain camp is even nervous about their own pick.

Because the youth vote always comes through... wait, it never has for the Democrats.. every presidential cycle I can remember there was always talk about the youth vote being excited about the Democratic candidate.

The Black vote may come out in larger numbers, but that is questionable. They vote what over 90% Democrat anyway, and those that don't vote, probably won't be bothered to vote this year either, just a hunch.
