not really, you said

Quote :
"that has nothing to do with the fact that they were losing luster when lute WAS there, and now that he's not, they're being gained on both nationally AND in the pac10"

So Arizona is being gained on after Lute left even though they've done the exact same thing as UConn in the tournament this year and last year? I brought up the records of Lute and Calhoun to show you how similar they were, plus to give you some context about this claim that Arizona is getting "gained on" seeing as how both schools' last trip to the Elite Eight were only a year apart. You clearly don't know what you're talking about.

"BRISTOL, CT—Emerging from her husband's dressing room slightly out of breath and sporting nothing more than a silk robe and tousled hair, Lorraine Vitale, wife of iconic ESPN college basketball analyst Dick Vitale, told reporters Sunday that her spouse is at his sexual peak during March Madness.

"He's an animal," said Mrs. Vitale, adding that prior to her husband's appearance on ESPN's Selection Sunday special, the couple engaged in sexual intercourse three times in different locations, including once in a Bank of America ATM kiosk. "We fool around at other times during the year, of course, but once the conference tournaments start and the brackets are finalized, well, that's when the role-playing starts, the dirty talk gets louder, and 'the prime-time player' comes out of its velvet-lined case and gets fresh batteries."

"He's especially aggressive this year because Duke has a legitimate chance at making the Final Four," she added.

Lorraine, who has been married to Vitale for more than 35 years, said her husband uses certain erotic techniques only during March Madness, including the dipsy-doo dunkaroo; the super scintillating sensational slam-jam bam bam; the backdoor, baby; and the trifecta, which Lorraine would not describe in detail, but said involves the use of Mr. Vitale's index, thumb, and forefinger.
According to Mrs. Vitale, their lovemaking becomes longer and more intense as the NCAA tournament progresses—sometimes lasting well into the morning hours if her spouse has had a particularly heated exchange with fellow college basketball analyst Jay Bilas. She said that once the Sweet 16 is set, Mr. Vitale enjoys achieving orgasm by playing erotic games such as the "Cameron Crazy" and the "Diaper Dandy."

"That's what the baby bottle and diaper are for," she said.

But what her husband enjoys playing most, Mrs. Vitale noted, is "Duke vs. UNC," a game in which he dresses up as a Blue Devil, she wears a University of North Carolina cheerleader outfit, and, at the sound of an air horn, the two "go at it hard like two in-state rivals."

Mrs. Vitale would not confirm rumors that ESPN analyst Digger Phelps sometimes participates while dressed as Wake Forest's "Demon Deacon" mascot.

"When the Final Four comes around, Dick is so sexually charged that he's pretty much into everything," said the mother of two, who admitted that it was disturbing at first to watch her husband stand stark naked in their kitchen, a ball gag muffling his screams of "It's awesome, baby," but that the practice had grown on her. "And I'll admit that it's a little weird when he shouts out 'Krzyzewski' at the moment of climax, but believe me, it's worth it. I have so many orgasms that it doesn't matter."

"Quite frankly the month of March has given our marriage the kind of excitement other couples only dream of," she continued. "Every woman deserves to experience, just once, the type of arousal I feel when my husband and I join together in the slap-a-lapp-anapper."

The Vitales' odd and oftentimes graphic lascivious behavior began in March 1983, when the two spontaneously made love on Testudo, an oversized bronze statue of a diamondback terrapin turtle that sits outside the University of Maryland library. It was at that point that Lorraine Vitale said she knew something carnal had taken over her husband.

"It was after a pretty close game with a tournament spot on the line. We were walking through campus, and Dick whispered to me, 'The students rub [the turtle] for luck, so let's get really lucky tonight,'" she said. "I'll never forget it. The torn-off underwear, the cool bronze against my knees, and Dick's hot body on my back thrusting, thrusting, thrusting…. Excuse me, I need a drink of water."

"Hey, Lorraine, come on," Dick Vitale could be heard saying from inside his dressing room. "I want to try this cream that Bob [Knight] and Karen [Knight] use."

Before reentering the dressing room, Mrs. Vitale confirmed what everyone had already assumed to be true: that immediately after the NCAA championship game Dick Vitale ejaculates one last time, rolls over, and sleeps through the entire month of April."

hahahahahaha

How's next year looking?
How's it looking for UCONN and the PAC 10 as a whole?

I think that's what he meant by being "gained on". Yes, they have three NBA first rounders leaving this year. They have 1 (one) JUCO transfer coming in 2009. UofA will be lucky to go 4-14 in the PAC 10 next year.

We aren't talking about next year, I can't predict the future and neither can you, so let's stick to what's actually happened, and I'm sure you know that UConn isn't too far removed from missing the tournament in 2007.

So Arizona isn't the number one school every year for the past 25 years and we suck? I don't get some of you...I mean I get that there are those that want to troll...and that's fine...but considering that this is, as a whole, our worst year in the last 25 (you know....what with losing our coach because he had a stroke and all) the fact that we are in the sweet 16 sort of speaks for itself.

I don't know about Chase coming back next year though....at the Pac10 tourney we asked his dad and he just laughed. Now I'm not sure why because Chase put up a pretty crappy showing at that tournament for starters, but...... Honestly though, Kyle Fogg is gonna be the man next year.

But let's be serious here folks...Lute has been coaching Arizona longer than most of you have been alive so to call him anything other than legendary is just stupid.

^yeah I'm not optimistic about Budinger coming back, but stranger things have happened. What do you think about Wise coming back? I haven't checked out any mock drafts, but it doesn't seem like he's anywhere close to being a first round lock.

Pretty good, actually.

We have Kemba Walker and Jerome Dyson in the backcourt with a seasoned backup in Donnell Beverly. In the front court we have Stanley Robinson, Gavin Edwards and McDonald's All American Alex Oriakhi in the frontcourt. Along with a Top 40 recruit Jamal Coombs-McDaniel and one of the Top 15 prospects from last year who was from the Sudan and took some time to be cleared in Ater Majok.

Top 15 team IMO by the end of the year...

Yeah, they lost 6 draft picks and 90% of their offense from 2006. Re-stocked and 2 years later are one of the odds-on favorites to win the National Title again...

so maybe in two years Arizona will be nasty again, you've got an excuse for why UConn missed the tourney in 2007 and I've got an excuse for why Arizona will probably miss it next year...I don't really see the difference. UofA is going through a coaching change, so I don't really think it's fair to shit on them because their legendary coach had a stroke and then retired, especially when they are still in the tournament right now.

Stop taking everything so literally on here. You originally responded to a troll post (if you need any help determining when one trolls, just look at every single jaybee1200 post to me ever). If I am having a real intelligent conversation about sports on here, you'll know it.

Duke/Nova is probably the sexiest matchup of the night, so they may have wanted it to be the late game so more people would see it

Its on at 10 here, but 9, 8 and 7 in the other timezones

maybe not

I don't know

First year they've ever done this all 4 games at prime time approach

Crazy that they think that ratings might be better at 7:30 and 10 than at noon and 2:30

Almost everyone I know has either UNC or Louisville winning it all. I'm one of the select few with Pitt as the winner. That's just in my pool though, I'm sure others have Pitt winning. Anyway, if Pitt wins, I'll win 20 bucks and tons of bragging rights. Anyone but UNC.

the biggest problem is the image problem

half the tv cutaway shots show tons of empty seats. now those seats didn't have a view but still to see empty seats for a sweet sixteen matchup or even the NC game makes it seem like no one is there.

Lawson's numbers are better just about across the board. His offensive efficiency is unmatched and he's a better all-around player than either Fields or Flynn.
