on the plus side, you get really good at taking the door panel off and it doesn't take very long to fix after your first few times

I've never seen it on any of my previous cars. Ah, well, luckily drilling them out wasn't necessary. Next up is fixing a very minor oil leak (seems to be from the oil filter housing gasket, apparently quite common on these).

I'd imagine that this generation M3, especially the coupes, are going to hold their value quite well. For starters it's the last M3 coupe ever (thanks to those asshats in Munich). And secondly, it's the last one with a dedicated high revving NA engine.

My e90 /// just needed a new fuel pump and low pressure sensor. Seems to be straightened out now.

Looks like the sensor was bad and causing issues with the pump and wore it out. So we'll chalk this one up to stupid BMW electronics as well!

Well I cited the Clubman b/c it's the only 4 door Mini. It also has AWD that doesn't help the weight.

I didn't realize the i3 had 2 engines though. Thought it was a pure EV. The weight makes more sense now.

I'm strapped for cash and need new tires for my e46.

I can get away with just replacing two for now, but those two need to be replaced ASAP. I thought about buying the tires online and getting a friend to put them on, then taking it to the dealer or Import Moror Werks for an alignment. Is that reasonable or does someone have a better idea?

You've got a friend with the machinery to put tires on rims? That's pretty doubtful. Also you don't need an alignment after mounting tires, you need to balance each tire on the rim.

Buying online can work out really well. I usually get mine that why. But I then have a professional shop install them. Having "a friend' put them on is highly unusual, because most people don't have the proper equipment laying around.

I've bought tires online, but usually shipping is extra, and you have to wait, and you have to pay to get them installed.

say the tire costs $100 online

you buy 2

2x$100 = $200
+ shipping ~$10-12 per tire
===================
~$225 to get your tires (you can have them shipped to the shop who will install them)

once they arrive, install is usually ~$25 per tire (can be more or less, depending on your relationship)

so you're looking at ~$275 with buying online

you can go get a quote online like this from say http://www.tirerack.com of the tires you want,

take it to a place like discount tire, and get them to price match

and maybe they have the tires in stock and can get you out the same day
