^^ heard about that on the news the other day. All because some girl from Long Island died after drinking it. Of course, it is entirely the fault of the beverage, and not the irresponsible drinking habits of most of our generation. This shit wouldn't need to be banned anywhere if people just paid attention to what the hell they were doing.

this is one of the articles that mentions the girl from LI that died from this stuff. Some sites say she was 18 at the time, others say she was 17. I say, wtf was she doing drinking this crap to begin with? Also, it is nearly impossible to find an article about the girl's death-by-four-loko that is not primarily about Chuck Schumer.

^ according to this article, one can of four loko has as much alcohol as a sixpack of beer (though likely VERY light beer) and caffeine as four cups of coffee. On the news here they said it was equivalent to 4 beers and 2 strong cups of coffee. I don't know who's correct, but either way, one can has the effect of a few vodka-bulls.

It's 4 "ice" beers or 5-6 "light" beers. A can of loko has 2.88 ounces of alcohol, a 6 pack of bud light has 3.02 ounces of alcohol.

yeah, they're not required to put the amount of caffeine on the label...i had made the guess in another thread of a minimum of 200mg (and likely around 300mg) of caffeine, which is 2-3 espressos or 2-2.5 cups of drip

I have pretty much stopped drinking it as well...except maybe I'll chug one before a football game. I'm more concerned about what this says for the public, in that they have absolutely no regard for holding idiotic teens responsible for their actions.

One of the old lady's blood pressure went up, and they couldn't finish a whole can. Based on this "objective reporting", we should ban these drinks. THEY ARE THE DEVIL!
