I was given a Benelli M2 tactical for Christmas from a contractor that I've given a lot of work over the past 2 years.
It's way cool, but I have literally no idea what use I will ever have for it. 2/9/2013 5:53:24 PM |

Honestly, I cut the barrel to get rid of the front sight...and to make it more compact. I cant stand when I walk with a rifle muzzle down and its close to the ground.
Yep, its a Houge. Really nice feeling and pretty stiff as well. 2/9/2013 6:05:50 PM |

I borrowed an old 2nd gen Glock 21 from the range officer today and shot 8 rounds at 7 yds offhand...put 6 of them through one ragged hole.
Shot the 1911 and XDm some, too. 2/10/2013 10:40:47 PM |

Anyone have any firsthand experience with a FNX 9mm? I have a friend who is considering buying his first handgun and has shown great interest in this one even though he hasn't shot anything other than my HKs so far. Reviews on it seem solid. 2/11/2013 11:55:24 AM |

My second hand experience: A guy at a class I was taking had one. He had no problems and said he really like it.....
Also, I took the G37 (45GAP) to the range this weekend with Hiro. We put about 60 rounds through it. Very manageable, louder than .40, has the wide slide that everyone complains about. Today, I sold the slide and two mags for $330. So I'm $70 into it, and still have ~250 rounds of ammo and a nice OD frame. 2/11/2013 2:58:51 PM |

it bothers me that gun rights activists constantly fail to fully call out anti's on the definition of assault weapons and make it clear, if not to the panel, but to the viewing public, the non-existent difference between "assault" weapons and non-"assault weapons". 2/11/2013 10:02:04 PM |

One of my favorite leftist remarks was about how many clips a clip could hold. Another was that you can't hunt with an "assault weapon".

if anyone wants to buy a CMP Garand and wants to pick it out yourself, but doesn't want to drive to Alabama, they will have rifles at Camp Butner during the Eastern CMP Games in May.
Quote : | "The CMP South staff from Anniston, Alabama will be at the match with a supply of government surplus M1 Garand rifles. These rifles will be on display from Saturday 4 May – Tuesday 7 May. Anyone may inspect these rifles and select one or more to purchase from the CMP regardless of whether they are entered in the competition. Individuals interested in purchasing rifles who are not firing in the match are welcome to come to Camp Butner during the daily rifle sales. Case lots of .30-06 M2 ball ammunition will also be available for purchase at the range." |

^^only way you're gonna get .45 Colt up near .44 Mag performance is to handload or buy Buffalo Bore, but those "+P" loads are only safe in Blackhawks and Contenders.
so, no real advantages unless you just like the cool factor or you want to play with old school BPCR

I used Mark Housel @ http://www.landmprecisiongunworks.com/ located in Arizona. He came highly recommended via glocktalk. I would have to agree so far.
I have no experience with them, but they advertise on CSC and can do NP3 coating and refinishing: http://www.tonermachining.com 2/15/2013 5:07:15 PM |
