I played poker for a year. I didn't do bad.....I didn't do great. I just got by.
I ended up hating poker. So I went and got myself a 9-5. I deal poker sometimes also. 12/1/2007 7:13:08 PM |

forkgirl, that's pretty much the point i'm at now, i mean i make enough to eat and pay the bills and go out and stuff, but it's like i'm not making enough to really build a huge roll, it's kinda like i'm making enough to pay all my expenses and live, but then there's not much extra to reinvest ya know, i'm thinking about getting a real job just so i don't have to keep spending my bankroll on trips and rent and stuff. 12/2/2007 5:34:31 PM |

yeah when i used to play primarily mtts i held to the 200 buy in rule, and adjusted for rebuys
when doing the 180 man $20 mini mtts on stars, i did 100 buys
ive dabbled in 9 or 18 person sngs over the course of the past two years, and they seem lucrative enough to play more of... i just dont have the patience for full mtts or ring games much any more
100 seemed high, but 50 seemed low. looks like that article kinda confirms that12/3/2007 8:05:06 AM |

day one of project SNG
all single table 9/10 handed, depending on site.
5-6 tabling.
from the SS
Quote : | " total buyins: 22 total rake: 2.2 (buyins) total investment: 24.2 total gross return: 27 total net return: 2.8 (buyins) avg result: 4.3636 (yeah i realize this is skewed due to ~20% being 10 handed) " |
as a breakdown of results
1-0 2-6 3-6 4-0 5-4 6-2 7-0 8-2 9-2 10-(if avail) 0
feel like i finished poorly, and played atrocious in each HU
def. feel like this could be doable, with a high propensity.
just the 2 hours or so tonight and over 2 buyins of rake, it appears as if rakeback will influence win rate prlly more so than nl ring games, but less so than low limit split pot games. (my hourly rake rate ~equaled the win rate... which is interesting)
we'll see

and yes, i realize that this disto is also a bit odd. hopefully it'll pan out more towards a skewed normal distorbution with a mean close to or less than 4.

^ that only means that the name hasn't been a part of my datamining (I haven't datamined too much yet). If you click browse you will see an extensive list of the players that are currently in there. My hope is that other users will submit some of their own hand histories in order to grow the database. 12/4/2007 8:36:06 AM |
