first day back to the gym since i blew up.

10 min on the bike for warmup, stretching

back/shoulders

2x12 lateral db raises
1x12, 1x10 front db raises (haha poor form, probs too much weight, couldnt finish a 2nd 12 with good form)
2x12 overhead db presses
2x12 arnold presses

2x12 db rows
2x12 lat cable pulldowns wide grip
2x12 lat cable pulldowns narrow grip

weight assisted chinups till i could do no more.

stretching

put together an arms group for tomorrow, chest for the following day.

my leg's still jacked to shit and i cant do lower body stuff yet.

and in the same vein i really dont know what the fuck im doing with free weights or designing a workout around them.

Is anyone here a nutritionist or have experience with such things? Quinn and porcha have me all paranoid now since I am doing p90x.

I think begonias does nutrition stuff.

Just don't listen to porcha. He knows his stuff, but he'll convince you that carbs are a vehicle of Satan and exist only to poison your body.

Also, he pees on sticks.

I just said I did not think p90x was the best use of time for gaining weight. What is there to be paranoid about though? I eat like garbage so I can't help you there. Sorry if I scared you!!!

I'd like to find a diet to help me bulk up some. I don't know if saying something like 10-15lbs would be too much or make me look too big. Ideally, my goal is to look athletic and toned while maintaining a leanish form.

Right now my food on hand consists of: potatoes, beans (red & black), tuna, spinach, whey protein shakes, bananas, oatmeal, eggs, mushrooms, green onions, kashi cereal, 2% milk, non-fat yogurt, salmon, frozen chicken breast, brown rice.

I try and eat every 3-4 hours but it can be quite challenging. I also allocate a cheat meal a week which usually consists of chick-fil-a.

Help Obi-wan Begonias, you're my only hope.

^^ I figured the gaining weight would come from diet and the p90x is what I would use to shape that weight into something (more) attractive. I've invested too much into abandoning it now so I am trying find a workable solution.

So I've been giving deadlifts a shot when working out, and I think I've come to the conclusion that my arms are too short. I feel like when I reach down to get the bar I have to arch my back so that my arms will reach and can't keep my back flat like I'm supposed to. I added a bench under each side of the bar and that helped, but I still don't think I'm doing it right.

^continue to drop body fat from the area and more dead lift and squat variations

anything where the trunk/core is kept tight and supports a fair amount of weight is going to work the area

About halfway through my workout I started feeling uncomfortable and tight on the left side of my chest. Stopped my workout and just did cardio after that. Hopefully it was a just some tightness and I didn't strain/pull anything.
