ok i'm really going now. i took a 30 min break to eat dinner and play on tww.

today's productivity was slightly hindered by a funeral, but i still feel like i've made good progress.

the funeral, was pretty badass as far as funerals go, too. the guy was a HUGE state fan his entire life (and used to photograph the bball and fball teams back in the day) and they played the fight song on the organ as the postlude?! i don't even know if that is a word...but the song at the end or whatever. it was really cool.

people get pissed when you don't show up for work no matter what it is
MY boss gave me a 2 on my performance review one year for attendance because I was out for a week when I got my appendix out (she called me every day while I Was in a vicodin stupor to bitch about having to do my job and to enjoy my vacation, I was guilted into coming back sooner than I Should have). I took her ass to HR and made her change it, glad I did that before she was fired for being a shitty person in general.
I am hoping that attitude is changing because right now with people being essential personnel they show up for work no matter what, and then everyone gets whatever crud is going around

So, instead of 1 person being sick, and just staying home for 2 or 3 days, and getting better.

You have 1 person being sick, coming into work, and getting 5 people sick. Then those 5 people want to stay out for 2 or 3 days.
