Yeah I tend to ask tooooooooooons of questions from etsy dealers before placing any order, especially if it's something I'm going to be wearing. This is actually the first time I've had what the dealer told me and what I received be two different things.

^^ Well yeah, that's where I got kind of confused He asked me for my waist size first and then told me if he needed anything else measurement wise he would write me back.

He also told me that he wouldn't mail me the corset and just let me pick it up so I wouldn't have to pay shipping and handling, but then it showed up at my door. It was really just kind of weird lol.

^ That sucks you've had stuff not shown up! Did you contest it with etsy?

maybe he could have done a better job defining corset terms for a n00b

but it sounds like he sent you what you ordered AND gave you free shipping to save you a trip

No sadly the shipping was not free. He was going to refund me the shipping since etsy automatically charges you for it. I paid $12 to have it shipped basically two blocks

Is anyone willing to look for something at the campus bookstore for me, if they're on campus? I need to know if they still have a certain shirt... I plan on calling them but I wanted to see if any of you ladies had seen the shirt I'm talking about

It has Hello Kitty on the front and says "Hello Wolfpack" underneath it... white shirt I think

I definitely remember seeing that shirt there last time I was in the bookstore, but that was back in August.

^^ everything ok?

On an unrelated note, my swim suits came in yesterday. The first one (white paisley print) was awesome, the gold one the top was too small, and the white/pink was not attractive (like Erica said).

So I am sending the last 2 back. Maybe I'll get a dress? Or try a few other swim suits. Dunno.

so this may be more appropriate for the wedding thread, but I know you ladies could help...

I get to wear 3 outfits for engagement pics... any suggestions? I plan on wearing this red dress I got, with a black cardigan and my awesome black sparkly heels (but they are subtly sparkly)... and I will probably wear my straight leg jeans with my bird feather graphic tee... and probably a cardigan because that's my favorite outfit addition. Maybe a vest instead.

But my biggest question is surrounding what I should wear for our NC State portion. I'd like to wear my jersey, but I don't want to be matchy-matchy. That's why I was trying to find the Hello Kitty Hello Wolfpack tee Should I just go for one of the vintage-y looking ones on the website and wear some jeans and my vans?

^ I think the vintage-y looking ones would be cute with jeans

on another note - of course facebook knows me too well and throws on my ad section that Nordstroms is having a shoe clearance.

i wish i had a reason to buy these:

^ That's what my shoes look like, except black and they're a cheaper version...

If it makes you feel any better, I tried on the Steve Madden pair and they were super uncomfortable

i REALLY need a hairstyle for my hair now that it has grown out some...

it's just slightly shorter than shoulder length...

i think i'm going with this style...

if i don't like it then i'm whacking my hair off short again before it gets hot

yes!

one of my good friends is a photographer and i always look through her photos that she posts when she updates facebook/her blog and i must say - keep it simple and classic when doing engagement photos. i've seen a LOT of really trendy stuff and it just looks weird. Yeah it looks cool now, but it's kind of like those big poufy/lacy wedding dresses in the 80s. your mom thought she was the cat's meow but looking back you kind of have this "mom what the heck were you thinking!?!??!?!?" moment.

I finally got my hair cut today. Didn't go much shorter, really just needed some bangs, but I might sack up and do hack off some more inches once summer gets a bit closer. We'll see

I know the feeling bmel. Had surgery to look for the cause of my female problems and the pain wasn't as bad as my cramps.

Need to find a gyno that'll give me percocet for cramps, vicodin doesn't work so well anymore and I can't take a day off work every month because the pills make me too sleepy to drive.

i def would not wear a french connection dress as a beach cover up! that is definitely a going out dress...it doesn't even look like it is cotton, but hard to tell from the pics.

that is french connection, right?

i like it, but i don't like the front that much...just because that drooping isn't really my style, and i do not think it looks all that flattering on the model. there was another similar french connection dress that i liked slightly more because the front was different. but it still had similar colorful trim. i absolutely LOVE the back of the one posted and the sleeves/lack of sleeves. i just wish the front were different. then it would be a fab dress instead of a this could look good on some people dress.

but that is just my opinion

here is the one i liked the best!!! still has colorful trim and a cute back...

also liked this one...sparkles!!!!!!!

thanks for the offer, Joie!!! that pic looks great!!! I'll definitely take you up on your offer! there's a Navy thrift store here were you can get secondhand uniforms for dirt cheap so I won't need the sailor shirt, but the dress would be awesome! I don't want you to go to the trouble of mailing it, maybe I can look you up the next time I'm in Raleigh? I'll probably be up there in 2 weeks.

PS ... are your shoes white? where did you get them? I'm having a hard time finding white ones online

PPS ... you can tell the sailor shirt is a costume, his rank should be on the left sleeve
