i think there is a fine line between heroic conduct and stupid stupid actions

just watched the 20/20 on the kim family that got lost in the snow in oregon and the dad left the car to find help. they said it was "heroic" and i guess it was because he tried to help his family, but he read a map wrong, left with nothing (TENNIS SHOES) and walked 16 miles in a circle, died 2 miles from the car where he started.

the fam stayed in the car and was found alive a day after he left. i dunno...leaving the car in the snow w/ no protection against the elements seems like a death wish to me. i guess if you're in that situation though, you might get tired of waiting and feel that is your only option.

a snowboarding helmet with a visor or no visor? which is cuter (i know that isn't the point of helmets but i still want to know). these are on ruelala today and i might end up getting one because i need a new helmet and they are like 50% off

of course i'm prob not going to get to snowboard this year so...there really isn't a point. but whatever.

i really want purple and they sold out of my size (S - i think though i could MAYBE do XS but don't wanna risk it) in the purple non-visored one. i was just confused because the ones w/o a visor have the breathing hole things.

oh well

as long as it keeps my head from getting smashed and broken and my brain oozing out, i really don't care.

^ well i will use it, just *PROBABLY* not this season, since it is almost the end of feb. but potentially in march if i can find a good deal on lift tickets (or maybe just going to stupid app ski mtn). they are expensive and this is a good deal so...that is the reason for getting it now (the sale ends todayyy). i have been needing one for awhile now. renting helmets always kinda grosses me out.
