Anybody catch "You All Everybody" playing in the background on tonight's episode of ALIAS?

Yeah I like the idea of the big hatch thing in the ground being a power generator or something.

Remember we already saw a cable leading towards the ocean in an earlier episode. I think the island was a top-secret military headquarters that did exeriments with mutation-genetics on animals to develop them into super-warriors in combat. The polar bears are the "guinea pigs" that got away when the mutated animals killed all the people. The island was left as is, and swept under the rug by the higher-ups. Plane crashes on the island, the military and high officials KNOW it crashed there, but they don't bother rescuing them b/c they aren't going anywhere near the island and would like to forget it ever existed after the disaster of their people being killed. Out of sight out of mind. The people have just become part of the island that the government wishes they had never created.

The individual stories of the people on the island are just meant to show that it is a small-world, everyone has some sort of problems, and isolation and solitude away from civilization helps you think about them and put them behind you and move on.

That's my theory.

ok as far as Lost paralleling "the stand", it appears locke will be the leader of one group, i cant tell if good or evil, and either sayid or jack will lead the other.

in the beginning of last nights ep, boone says something about hating sayid for hitting on shannon and locke says something about needing him on their side.

then locke makes boone realize shannon is a source of weakness for him through the vision thing.

im thinking the asian man speaks english also but hasnt revealed it for the same reasons his wife gave.

and yeah, why was sawyer in the police station when boone was telling on shannons bf?

if you have a disc that has bulged/herniated and is blocking the nerve, a sharp fall/traumatic event could help fix that...

now it would be very interesting if he starts to lose motor ability as the disc settles back

ABC has been doing this with LOST and DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES since about a month into the Fall season. And NBC was doing it for several years with FRIENDS and E.R.

It's rather brilliant move actually. Not only do you keep viewers from changing to another station after the show's over, you increase the amount of advertising space during your higher rated shows.

My theory doesn't explain why Locke is walking again? Yes it does. I don't believe in magic or any of that rubbish on the island. Locke is walking again b/c during the crash or whatever, he was jolted and it reversed whatever caused him to be paralyzed. I can buy that.

My theory is that the people who were on the plane represent just any normal plane flying from one place to the next. It is usually scattered with all sorts of people who have led different (or similar) lives and are on the plane for lots of different reasons. How often do you really get to know the people you are on a plane with? Now that they have crashed and have to live and work together, they have found out lots about each other and in the instance of Sawyer in Boone's flashback, it is a small world.

The plane crashed (for an unknown reason) onto the island. The island was a top-secret military installation that had to do with research on genetic mutation to generate super-soldiers. They were doing research on animals, as most preliminary research is done. Things got out of hand on the island, people were killed, some people bailed off the island, and it was swept under the rug and "never happened" in the eyes of the higher-ups. The cable leading to the ocean and the hatch Locke and Boone found has to do with a power source. The "monster" is probably some type of machinery disguised as a creature or one of the genetically mutated research animals (or just a normal animal that didn't get that far into research). The lady Sayid encountered on the island was one of the people who did not get off the island. All of them were going crazy due to being on the island and being "brain-washed" by the higher-ups. Ethan is worried that the "newcomers" to the island have been sent by the government to detain or take care of the survivors of the experiment, hence the reason he kidnaps Charlie and pregnant woman.

That's just my theory.. probably totally off. but I could see it along the lines of something like that. I don't think the people were supposed to be on that plane. they just randomly were. and there is no magic or voodoo going on.
