ok whoever put up the post is an asshat.. bought it for 1700 with the clear title, it wasnt a "stunta" the guy looped it. about me looping it, ok i did, and i replaced the whole entire rear end with parts off ebay.

all of the reapirs ran me 1700. so 1700x2= 3400, this doesnt include the cage that i put on which was 300, say ur ignorant comments all that you want. the title is clear, the bike has all new parts and im breaking even when it comes down to it on the sale. whoever put the post up i'd like to meet in person.

Kyle its pretty safe to say thats pretty beat up of you to post that thing for sale like that.
If i went to see a bike in person and you said it had never been stunted and i took one good close look at that bike i would be so pissed.

Don't lie to sell a bike, and the bike isnt worth 4k either way... thats shady right there man.

Why do you guys even care really? Some retard is going to buy it not knowing it was crashed twice, but from what I understand it should still work and drive. I don't think he's screwing someone entirely, he's just overcharging for it. I'd be trying to get my money back out of that as well.

When we sold the DSM we got $3200 for it. You think it was worth that? HELL NO. Am I going to say, "No I don't want your $3200?" Absolutely not.

The point is: I wouldn't pay for it, but if people are stupid enough to pay that kind of money it's not my problem.

^^^that is completely different. if he stated he stunted it, but then put a nice chunk of money to fix it right, and ask for 4k, then he would have been overcharging like you said and i wouldnt have a problem with that.

what he is doing is lying to the buyer and i cannot stand that shit coming from ANYONE.
i see a lot of this shit a lot bacause i get to deal quite a bit with used car sales. those fuckers will be looking you right in the eye and lie, because they know you are gonna sign a "as-is" agreement, saying that anything they canot be held liable for anything they say about the car after it is purchased.

in fact, the last car we got for my lil sister had a quite a number of problems, including a bad catalitic converter, the fuckers cleared the check engine light right before they let me look at it. so yeah it is safe to say i hate dishonest fuckers. i didnt flag the craigslist post, but kyle that shit is wrong.

in the ad, i did not say anything about it being wrecked. i just didnt mention it. i didnt feel it was worth mentioning considering half of the bike, frame back is from an 02, 02 carbs, 02 fairings, 02 subframe, 02 swing arm, 02 axle, 02 rear wheel 02 clip on 02 tach/speedo, 02 head lights, 02 fairing stay 02 gas tank, 02 fuel pump.

the bike is better than it was before, it was looped once by me and once by the previous owner, i dont know how he used it, just that it was beatup when i bought it, and now i fixed it. it has a clear title, runs perfect and is in the very same condition that i described in the ad. many of the parts on the bike have less than 5000 miles on them from the 02 bike.

the bike also comes with 2 spare subframes, and spair fairings etc. if im asking too much it wont sell and ill keep driving it around no big deal.

for someone to say it only cost 800 to put it back together they are an asshat and know absolutely nothing about motorcycles.. thanks for the support saabturbo.

Stunting means you pulling tricks and doing stupid shit on a bike. I think flipping your bike doing a wheelie constitute as stunting even though you didn't stunt very long and the fact that you were with Igor at the time.

Also, inflating the price that much to cover the cost of fixing the bike twice is a douchebag of a move. Not mentioning the fact about the wrecks and the non-stunting is just wrong. I would consider 3k to be tops, but I bet my F2 is a better value then your r6. The parts you listed are also inflated.

Be honest or don't sell.

I feel that it is worth mentioning for a couple reasons...

you say the bike is better than when you wrecked it, but you could be selling this to a total bike noob. if something that you fixed breaks and he wrecks it, then what? what if he wrecks it bad enough to land him in the hospital? what if he dies?

he might not have bought it if he knew it had been wrecked so badly.

the speedo doesn't work, because of the wreck right? so basically there are still problems related to the wreck that you haven't fixed. you state that you just don't know why the speedo doesn't work, but you don't mention when it stopped working or possible causes (things that changed, wrecks that happened, etc)

when you sell a car or a bike, there's a check box on the title when you sign it that says something to the tune of, this vehicle has had repairs that cost more than 25% (or maybe it was 75%) of the value of the vehicle. You legally are supposed to check this box. the title is clean only because someone before you didn't check the box and because you are going to commit fraud by not checking the box either. Checking that box turns it into a salvage title, which it should be.

even if you've replaced parts that were damaged, who did the work? did you do it? was it done by a professional? is it back to factory specs?

a buyer would assume that most parts that aren't listed are original from factory, but in fact they aren't. specifically the swingarm and axle, which are a very integral part of the bike and if put together wrong or if the mount points were stressed in the wreck could put an unsuspecting buyer's life in danger. ANY buyer has the right to know that the bike was rebuilt so that they can make their own decision to put their life in danger on a rebuilt bike.

it was done by a certified master tech that used to work for barnett's suzuki, certified to work on motorcycles, atv's dirt bikes, boats etc.., he quit because he hated it there. he guarantees all his own work and is trying to start his own shop. i highly doubt that anything will break on this bike. I trust this guy and I didnt do any of the work myself. He even has his damn certification hanging within his garage, i think he's more than qualified to work on my bike, but im not exactly sure is that not enough for you?

the frame was untouched in the wreck, everything that was fucked up was replaced, the speedo is an electrical problem possibly from converting the tach/speedo to an 02 instead of 00. I will get that sorted out. obviously the bike is no longer for sale after jeff fag fucked up the post on craigslist.

stop posting about the bike and let the classifieds thread continue, nothing would break on the bike, it's all new parts off an '02, nothing is nigger'd up, like half the bikes on tdub, that comment was retarded.

legally if the repairs take 75% of the cost of the bike then i dont have to check the box, the bike is worth 4000, the repairs only took 1700, including the mechanic kthx though.

^^ Look if some noob buys the bike, wrecks it and is killed, its his own damn fault. He should have bought a bike from a dealer and not from someone. Even then dealer bikes have defects and shit happens, I am sure you know of dealers that lie and jack up their prices.

You odviously don't know anything about the bike or didn't do research. The speedometor was replaced but he got a broken one. Aslo if you see something that has almost everything replaced then you know it had to have been in a wreck, an idiot would think otherwise. Now the work and the price of all the new parts that has been done to the bike is worth 3500 at least.

Moral of the story. Don't be a dumbass.

^^^ how long ago did he work for Barnett's? and was his name mike? Cause some guy named Mike did my carb cleaning a Barnett's last summer and fucked it all up. I mean a simple carb cleaning shouldn't have been so rough. He never could tune it properly after I took it back four times. I finally figured it out myself.. I had crap stuck in the idle circuit still (after his cleaning) in one of the carbs. So all he did was make the other side run way rich to compensate at idle. This in turn meant at idle, only one cylinder was firing until the transition to the high speed circuit. Not to mention he put my float bowls on backwards and lost the rubber piece that the gas tank fits onto in the front.

no his name is chris, he's one of the few that works there with a certification. or rather used to work there with a certification, barnetts sucked that's why he quit, i know mike he's a dufus.

they did almost the same shit to my bike at suzuki of sanford, old gsxr that i had, thus why i take it to chris and not dealers.

3500, i agree with that.

he's a great guy i wouldnt call him a moron.

btw triangle cycles got a low-hours ktm 525sx ready to be supermoto'd
they said they let it got for like 3500 plus you figure 1500 for wheels and suspension if you're gonna convert. but it should blow the socks off the suzuki 450sm and also a lil more compact and better looking. one guy came out on a sm'd 420 for two wheel tuesday and confused the hell out some sportbikers who kept wondering why they cant keep up with a fuckin dirtbike

http://www.trianglecycles.com/new_vehicle_detail.asp?sid=03422052X4K5K2006J5I17I13JPMQ402R0&veh=6106&pov=276985

if you look at the back of your title, there's a damage disclosure section that states:
Has this vehicle been damaged by collision or other occurrence to the extent that damages exceed 25% of its value at the time of the
collision or other occurrence?
If yes, list parts that were damaged.

.25*4000=1000
1700>1000

noob or experienced. actually, now that i think about it, an experienced rider would be at more risk. a noob would probably take it slow, an experienced rider might try to ride the bike to the limits. by doing this they would put more stress on the repairs or any part that was not repaired/over looked.

yes, even new bikes have flaws, but a used bike, and a wrecked bike have a greater risk of breaking than a new one does.

i don't care if you sell the bike for $4000, hell i don't care if you sell it for $10000. However, whatever price you sell it for, you should disclose that it was in a major accident and has been rebuilt. selling it with a clean title and stating that it was never stunted and not stating that it was wrecked implies that the bike has never been rebuilt from an accident.

bikes get modded all the time. new parts could just be someone's modding frenzy and not a wreck. someone that sees a good price with new parts and no mention of a wreck is going to think it's a good deal when in reality, it's a mediocre deal. some people don't want to ride a wrecked bike wether it was repaired professionally or not. they deserve to have all the information in order to make the decision for themselves.

it's one thing with a car. motorcycles are much more dangerous in general. you are really playing with someones life by not disclosing that it's been rebuilt.

Btw Kyle, your a faggot. I've been working all day and did not post the Re: on craigslist. I got too much shit to do then call you out on craigslist. And Note that I did not say that my bike is worth more in money, just value. The term 'value' is different then the use of price. My bike is a better value then the r6 because its a Honduh (lol) and the fact that the bike actually works and looks good. Yours on the other hand is a tad bit away from mint condition, atleast it looks a lot better then when you got it. Not to mention your fork seals are leaking.

I just stated that if you were selling you r6, be more reasonable with the price and don't lie about shit. Prolly someone else on tdub called you out on craigslist. Atleast your keeping the r6 now bitch.

Btw, your "custom" paintjob is pretty... ghetto. lol

I'm looking for a used entry-level bike, a sport-touring (naked?) in the $1500 or less range. I don't really care that it's in pristene condition cosmetically or really how old it is, as long as it's a solid bike and runs well. I've been looking through craigslist, this thread, a few other places online, and talking to some folks I know, but if any of you could help me out with general advice, information, etc. or could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.

this bike (from the last page) looks good, though I really can't go higher than 1500. http://raleigh.craigslist.org/mcy/147628170.html And out of curiosity, can anyone give me a ballpark price for a solid-color paint job for that bike?

saw this in charlotte, any comments? http://charlotte.craigslist.org/mcy/144333589.html

gs500 would be a better performer out of those two, and you can sometimes find them in the under-1k range. i wouldnt want to ride anything with a drum brake up front in the triangle area. unless you can get the nighthawk for under 500, it wouldnt be worth it
