add jeff king as my TE? marcus pollard (seattle) is who i have right now. marcedes lewis is on the wire as well... but just something about King makes me think he will have a decent season.... and atleast he plays for the Panthers who I will watch more than anyone else. 9/12/2007 4:56:25 PM |

I would always be cautious about giving up Smith but since you have Reggie Wayne, Roy Williams, Cotchery, and will be getting Colston back then you would be fine at WR. Reggie will have another big year and with Martz still the coordinator Roy Williams will get his numbers. I don't think Colston will have a repeat season but he will still be a solid number 3 reciever along with Cotchery.
Rudi would give you great RB depth along with Henry, Marion Barber, Westbrook, and leon washington.. Henry and Westbrook are somewhat of injury concerns so some added depth would work in your favor.
I think both sides would come out of this deal pretty solid. Remember that Jake Delhomme is still the Panthers QB even though he looked pretty solid last week.

Week 2, do I start the Bengals Defense or New England?
The Bengals are "ranked" much higher and had crazy points week 1, but I know New England will always be solid. 9/12/2007 5:31:04 PM |

I have Deuce and Devery Henderson...but I only want to play one of those guys. So it's Deuce @ the Bucs, or Chris Brown vs Indy? then also Devery @ the Bucs or Chambers vs Dallas? 9/12/2007 6:39:42 PM |

^^ Cincy, that Cleveland offense is pretty bad, and changing to Anderson isn't going to be much help.
^ Brown vs. Indy Chambers vs. Dallas The Buccs D isn't bad and Deuce will be splitting carries. Chambers gets the nod because..well did you see what Burress did to Dallas last week? They are VERY suspect against the pass and I think Miami will try to exploit that. 9/12/2007 7:05:57 PM |

but seriously i think indy's defense is more quick than powerful and that might give lendale a better chance than a quicker back like brown 9/12/2007 7:29:35 PM |

After watching Arnaz Battle on Monday Night, he is staying as my solid #3 / backup WR. That kid has the best work ethic I've ever seen. It's too bad you can't get points for blocking, because he is probably the best downfield blocking reciever I've ever seen, and his hands are GOLDEN.
As long as Alex Smith stays consistent, Battle is going to pull in 5-10 points a game 9/12/2007 9:34:03 PM |

should i do it?
my other WR's are Houshmanzedah and Javon Walker (with Bernard Berrian and Ronald Curry on the bench)
my other RB's are Edgerrin, with Chris Henry on the bench

depends on if you need a WR, if you do then yes
hmm you have fairrrr depth at WR, seems like hardly any at RB really, i duno thats a close one
both steve and CJ gonna get touches, id say yes just because its two for one, really depends on Benson from here on out with some less than good defenses, he got stopped by SD a good D last week.

also i have chad and jackson on both of my fantasy teams but i think jackson will have the better year and running backs are just better in most leagues

now based upon that, would you do it?

You stick with Jackson.
Everyone, PLEASE do not overreact based on the fact that you are either 0-1 or one of your studs (like S-Jax) had a bad game.
You owe it to yourself to wait and reap the benefits on someone like Jackson in mid-season form.
Week 1 is typically an anomoly anyway. Those who will produce, didnt...and those who did, likely wont (Curry, Brown, etc.) for the entire course of the year.
If I were you, I would hold off on making blockbuster trades just yet.

Yeah people in my league are over-reacting like crazy. Already have one person saying if Lee Evans has another bad week he's dropping him, haha, and people trying to race to pick-up Drew Carter and Randel-El for big-time trading, which I just don't understand, haha.
In other news, I really hope Tony-G has a great game this week, hard to put him on the trading block after his miserable week 1 totals. 9/13/2007 12:03:51 PM |

Sit Start Q:
Tony Gonzalez (KC) @ Chicago or Eric Johnson (NOR) @ TB? 9/13/2007 2:41:25 PM |
FuhCtious All American 11955 Posts user info edit post |
Gonzalez is always an integral part of the KC offense, even when there isn't much. Johnson looked good, but add in the fact that the Bears have lost I think three starters for the year on defense now, and I think there will be some holes. Plus, in the red zone I think you are guaranteed that Gonzo will be a number 1 target, and Johnson will be like the third check down receiver at best. 9/13/2007 3:05:47 PM |

trade scenario, I am in a really deep league 16 teams h2h. 3 wrs and 2 rbs no flex.
I have ocho cinco(cin), holt (stl), dwayne bowe(kc) , jacoby jones (hou), anthony gonzalez(ind) at wr
at rb im thin with: s. jackson(stl), d. williams (car) then a bunch of shit: mike bell (den), adrian peterson (the shitty chicago one)
I was offered Tatum Bell (det) and Stokely (den) for d. williams (car) and bowe (kc)
2 things worry me. One is kevin jones when he returns. Will i go from one split back to another. And Kitna is my qb, too heavy with the shit lions. Just looking for some opinions. Thanks 9/13/2007 4:55:12 PM |

i'd say johnson, just because the rams td's will go to holt, and leinart is playing against seattle's D. plus johnson is mainly a pass catching TE anyway

if you dont have a solid QB then yes, id say so, he's prolly gonna be really efficient with his passes, nothing too far down the field and may throw a TD, maybe 2 if you get lucky. 9/13/2007 6:04:42 PM |
