So with an FSU win (up 10-2 now) the advancing ACC teams have a combined record of 13-1. The only loss was FSU's loss to Bucknell.

All 3 national seeds advance
#1: UM
#2: UNC
#4: FSU

The ACC really needs to bring home a title this year to shut the PAC10 and SEC up.

Tech took 2 of 3 from UGA in the regular season, but UGA was concentrating on getting the SEC Championship. UGA is known for losing a game in the post-season and then coming back to win. Should be an interesting series.

nc state i would guess
if CS-F wins, the top 8 teams are in the final 16. Everybody would be ranked except Fresno St. (cinderella!)

why would State be one of my most hated teams?

why would a school I went to, worked for, and have season tickets for (in football) be one of my most hated? makes no sense

We aren't near as good in early games, but hopefully our bats show up. This is going to be a pretty tough Super and the atmosphere will be against us.

We do have 1 thing going for us... We are the UNDERDOG and are getting little to no respect on many of the message boards. UGA is hot and can definetly swing the bat, but then again so could USC and many of the other high powered ACC teams that our pitching staff kept us in.

You can stream it via the UGA athletic site.

Only negative part will be the UGA bias, but oh well.

for those of us out of work, or those of you who can get off on friday... it would be cool to get a good number of Pack fans together to watch the game.

Packpass was free for all the games last weekend, I would assume it will be the same for this one. So then you get Pack bias

For a 3-game set I imagine we will go Shunick, Surkamp, and then Buchanan/Sogard/McConnell.

What exactly is the reason Gillheeny is not with the team? Will he back for this?

from what i've heard, Gillheeny is in some sort of academic trouble. and no. he will not be back for any part of the NCAA College Baseball Tournament.

Apparently the guy who owns Sammy's is a UGa grad. I was reading that's where their alumni plan on meeting to watch the game.

^^ even better reason why we should show up to support our Wolfpack. I'm sure after making mad bank off NC State students for years, that they'll understand our arrival.

Let's GO PACK.

I've heard some talk about Holliday leaving us in a couple years for a head coaching job. He is hands down one of the top 5, if not the #1, pitching coach in the country. Avent has done everything he can to keep him happy, for instance Holliday makes all the pitching moves and has total control over the pitching staff. I propose that we promote Avent to AD and give the head baseball job to Holliday.

I've watched both teams this year. UGA is a good home team and one that can score a lot in a hurry. They don't play small ball and rely on big innings and really good relief pitching. Gordon Beckham and closer Josh Fields are the teams best players. Beckham was drafted 8th overall to the White Sox yesterday. The key for State is not falling behind early and not letting Georgia's crowd get rowdy. If State wins this game it definately isn't over, Georgia is notorious for dropping the first game of the series only to win out and advance. That said, State really needs game 1. As good as State's pitching is, it's going to be tough to keep Georgia's bats in check for 2 straight games.

Is there any place that has an online audio stream for free for this game? I'm stuck at the office and will not be able to leave.
