What if someone hung a black Panthers flag and someone got offended or someone put a #BlackLivesMatter banner across the front yard. If the HOA asked the person to remove this, would it be acceptable or is this racist?

It doesn't seem like the HOA has any grounds in this case. They could probably amend the HOA agreement, but otherwise it's this guy's legal right to fly his racist flag.

If the HOA is solely using the approval of a "free standing flagpole" covenant, then they don't have any ground because the pole he's using to fly his flag isn't free standing, it's attached to his house. In the actual video report in the link the reporter just says that there's something against offensive flags, but didn't show the exact wording.

It's true. I'm not a high-minded free thinker...certainly not the kind of person who runs out to buy a confederate flag just cause a couple companies stop selling it.

I figure I'll always be able to get my rebel gear at any of the convenient Wings, Waves, or Eagles locations. Gun/knife shows are always pretty good bet, too.

We need to raze all statues/memorials and remove the portraits from currencies pertaining to presidents Washington (should probably rename the state and district too), Jackson, and Thomas Jefferson. They were all evil slave owning bigots that hated black people!
