I have nothing to say to owners of team's like this other than you should branch out of your 4 man, 8 and under fantasy football league.

OK, league question here.

We have two couples in our league...I'm saying that they shouldn't be allowed to trade, because the girls just ask the guys for advice, etc. But we have no rule in stone.

One guy just proposed a trade to get Brian Westbrook from his wife for Cadillac Williams.
They just played each other last week. Westbrook was a 1st round keeper draft pick in our keeper league and Williams went undrafted and was picked up on waiver the first week. Williams hasn't started on the guys team yet, while Westbrook is an every week starter.

Am I crazy for thinking this should be veto'd?

Crayton. Hasselbeck is expected to miss the game and Seattle will run much more with Seneca Wallace as the QB. Crayton should have a good game against Carolina.

^^ I think Westbrook for Williams is a fairly even trade this season.

Any thoughts on a Cotchery for LT trade? I made it this week (had Cotchery) and there were a few who threatened veto? Am I wrong to think that the trade wasn't as uneven as some people claimed?

Also proposed two other trades:

Give Harvin/Barbour
Get Moss/Turner

or
Give Barbour (or LT)
Get Moss

Looking for receiver help. I have Andre Johnson, Harvin, Donald Driver, and Meachem for WR, and Rice, Barbour, Gore and LT for RB.

I hate vetos aand only think they should be used if collusion is CLEARLY evident.

Lopsided trades happen all the time in real sports

Last year I had Hightower when he has supplanted James and before it was evident that he wasn't that great after all

Another guy had Peyton and Warner

Since he could only play one of them, it was a waste to have both on his roster, so he proposed Peyton for Hightower since his RBs sucked

I accepted, and it was veto'd because we were both good teams and the other teams didn't want to see us get better

It was pure bullshit, and cost me a shot at the title

I prefer leagues where only the manager can decide to veto, and you all have input in the interim to say if you think its fair

I agree veto shouldnt be used on a bad trade...but when it is lopsided and they are a couple...it's different.

Conflict of interest.

I think the main problem is letting one guy (the husband) having significant influence over two teams

I guess this is OK for Casual leagues, but it would never fly in the super serious hardcore cutthroat leagues I play in

Which one?

Matt Ryan vs NE
or
Joe Flacco vs. CLE

Still unsure about how good (or bad) the NE defense is.

^^like the one you posted at the top of the page?

^I'd go with Ryan. Flacco might get some numbers early, but Cleveland blows so it'll probably be ugly early. The falcons/pats game should be more of a shootout

See that league is for shits and gigs

Financial geniuses but complete homer sports fans (Roeth was first overall pick)

My serious leagues are so serious there was once a fistfight over a waiver claim for Samkon Gado

It's week 3. Really hard to tell trends right now. Either week could have been an anomoly. I would wait and see what Ginn does this week before shipping him off. He's looking like the unquestioned #1 on a team that has a solid running game.

No one knows what is going to happen to the once the rest of the Giants WR's come back.

make your decision after week 2, IMO.

^^ a rookie vs. the QB who holds the single season record for most TD's.

Dude, do not over think. Every team is not going to be the NY Jets. I promise Brady will land 300+ and 3 TD's this week.

I've got Carson Palmer for QB in one of my leagues, but his matchup is pretty scary. Should I trust him this week (I benched him last week, which burned me, obviously) or pick up one of the following options:

Joe Flacco
Mark Sanchez
Kyle Orton

My gut says to go with Flacco...but I almost lost last week by playing Shaun Hill over Palmer.

Steelers run defense is better than their pass D, plus Head and Shoulders boy is out

Pick the lesser of my two evils for defense: Jets or Falcons? I too, am thinking Brady and the Patriots will not be holding anything back (especially since he is my QB), so I am leaning toward the Jets.

Also, does anyone think Pierre Thomas will play Sunday or should I keep him on the bench?

Oakland's pass defense was solid last year too...and I'm assuming Asomugha is gonna be on Marshall most of the game

I woulda said Housh but yeah Hasselbeck is out

I'd probably go Smith but I hope Royal blows up

[Edited on September 24, 2009 at 6:34 PM. Reason : and ftr, the only reason I knew how to spell Asomugha is bc i'm playing vs OAK on Madden ]

Oakland is easy to figure out

Good rushing offense, shitty passing offense

Shitty rushing defense, good passing defense

The one wildcard is Seymour...he could singlehandedly pull their Rush D up several notches

So this is not just my thought due to overreacting to Bradys suckage last week and Schaubs great week, but also the matchups this week.

Schaub v Jax
Brady v Atl

I think Schaub has a great matchup. I think both games will potentially be a shootout as Houstons D sucks donkey balls, but Houston also has the run game to turn to, whereas NE does not. Thoughts? I don't think I can really go wrong with either and I love the moron who dropped Schaub post week 1 to my #1 waiver spot, part of it is I just don't want to waste him when he has a juicy matchup, but I did draft Brady as my stud.. hmm.

much tougher call than the other Brady question

but keep this in mind...Delhomme looked pretty good last week against ATL's pass defense

food for thought
