I would consider this too optimistic but whatever:
http://nymag.com/daily/entertainment/2011/11/vulture-answers-your-questions-about-communitys-future.html

I'm not sure why Vulture thinks the ratings that factor in DVR use mean anything, since people who DVR obviously fast forward through the commercials and thus are irrelevant to advertisers.

It felt a little too similar to the previous Abed-as-a-filmmaker episodes but there were plenty of good jokes/gags.

Watching TV is a very passive activity. You'd be surprised how many people actually watch the commercials on DVR. These days, ratings include people who watch the show live and a percentage of people who watched it on DVR within 3 days. (Nielsen says it's 44%)

Yep! The number of times one of us forgets we're watching a dvr'd show and forgets to fast forward is prolly 7 of 10. One of us usually catches it and reminds the other, but sometimes we miss it completely.

Sometimes we don't care when we realize it as we still use the dvr'd commercial to get a new beverage or pee

Are you saying that 44% of people watch a show they DVR'd within 3 days or 44% of people who DVR shows watch the commercials? Neither one is supported by the article you linked to.

Not yet.

In bizarrely coincidental news, though, Cougar Town has also been shelved for midseason.

Cougar Town at least has a definite return date (in March after Work it airs all it's episodes).

I didn't think it was funny at all. Maybe because I watched Killin' Them Softly right before it.

"'Community' Wins TV Guide Magazine Fan Favorite Poll

'Community,' the cult-hit series NBC pulled from its midseason schedule without any explanation, has won TV Guide Magazine's annual Fan Favorite Poll. How 'bout them apples?

Roughly 300,000 people voted on TV Guide Magazine's Facebook, and 'Community' bested many cult-hit shows including 'Chuck' and 'The Vampire Diaries.' The NBC series will be honored with three different covers for the Dec. 5 issue. The 'Community' issue hits newsstands Dec. 1.

"Because we don't get nominated for awards, this is our fans' outlet to tell us that they care," 'Community' star Gillian Jacobs said in a statement. "They may not see us win Emmys or SAG Awards, but they do have the power in something like this to vote, and you see a lot of people care about our show."

Other nominees for this year included 'Dexter,' 'Game of Thrones,' 'Revenge,' 'Ringer,' 'Person of Interest,' 'Terra Nova' and 'The Walking Dead.' Additionally, fans could submit a write-in vote. Last year, 'Supernatural' took home the title.

In November, NBC announced '30 Rock' would be taking the Thursdays at 8PM timeslot in place of 'Community.' While 'Community' has struggled in the ratings, the series has a very vocal fan community, including an NBC executive.

Series star Yvette Nicole Brown tweeted a photo of Edwin Chung, senior vice president of primetime at NBC, wearing a homemade 'Save Community' T-shirt. "Witness @NBC exec Edwin Chung's support of #Community! #TheyLoveUsToo #ipromise," she tweeted.

Fans have also started various other campaigns including We Love 'Community' Tumblr, Occupy NBC Twitter and the 'Community' Twibbon. Still looking for a way to show your support? Here at AOL TV we have thrown our support behind the show with a goatee graphic and Maureen Ryan's passionate open letter to NBC.

No word on when 'Community' will return to NBC."

Hahaha, we get the TV Guide.

It was our answer to not having a program guide on TV anymore. The wife circles shows she wants to watch, and as she watches them on the net, crosses them out.

Seems to work for her.

Pitchfork's been wrong before, certainly (see: Bon Iver), but Paste magazine and credibility: ITT.

I think glover makes it clear that if you qoute pitchfork as an authority, you probably won't like the album. Or at the least you will be the butt of several jokes throughout.
