Nobody really has enough cap space to afford more than two of them (well...maybe Joe Johnson played his way out of getting a max contract with that atrocious 2nd round). But I guess they could all take pay cuts if they REALLY wanted it to happen.

I see no way in hell it happens. First, the fact that no team can afford more than 2. Second, I honestly don't feel like those guys would want to do it. It would almost take the fun out of it if the team were that loaded. It would be like a monopoly in the business sense. If I were David Stern, I wouldn't even let it happen.

If a team feels like paying the luxury tax, the team can have 3 max players if they want. If there is a hard cap out there, it's significantly higher than the soft cap.
