I'm not bitter about what happened, so I'm just happy to watch the motherfucker play well.

Today was fucking bonkers.

RW would have never had a chance at Heisman @ NCSU. Regardless of shoulda-woulda-coulda's... history shows nobody cares about NC State. We may have a good player from time to time but until we have a team that's consistently on the national stage, we're not looked at. Hope the kid wins it.

Even if anyone in the media would have been paying attention to him our defense would have torpedoed his chances.

Harrison Beck talks about Wilson... and doesn't make an ass of himself

I had no idea he would have EASILY broken the ACC record for passing TDs had he stayed. 76 in 3 seasons is absurd...

That's interesting, but unsurprising. I mean, he had an NCAA record by the middle of his second year!

One other thing, I've always heard how great Camp Randall is, but I guess I never really watched many games on TV there... that student section is beyond good.

It looks fantastic on TV. Seeing it makes me want to make a trip up there for a game before the end of the season. It's only 3 hours away.

He is gonna need some Luck to win the Heisman...also, his RBs are equally deserving of it. Also, more Luck will be needed to go all the way. This should get him drafted though (mid rounds or late) which is what he really wanted to happen.

^ yeah, I'm having a pretty easy time being a closet wisconsin fan after watching that game last night.

sad, but true.

It's a valid argument that we might be a better overall team with wilson vs. glennon. however, it's far from a foregone conclusion that our record would be any different with the defense we have right now, and that certainly would eliminate Wilson from any heisman discussion.

I'm really happy for the kid, and hopes he continues to impress and i'd be ecstatic if he did end up winning the heisman.

signed.

On one hand, it's great to have a really good team to follow...On the other hand, it makes me that I'll probably never be able to expect this level of excitement because of the pack

yeah, i was somewhat surprised by that last night, but pretty nuts to think about.

Imagine if he gets drafted.

His jerseys will be bought up in large numbers by wisconsin fans, wolfpack fans, and fans of whatever NFL team picks him up.

thats why letting him go was such a bad move from a business point of view. I've heard from everyone in the business that christina aguilera is always VERY late to everything but you put up with it because shes a great singer and having her on the show will boost ratings.

we've hit a new low here in sports talk, folks. Russell Wilson has just been compared to Christina fucking Aguilera.

^ and you do realize 1/2 the country would still not have heard about RW if he hadn't of transferred, right?

Christina Aguillera? Why are you still posting?

If RW & Wiscconsin keep it up, he's got a great shot. Something he definitely wouldn't have had here. And I guess I'm still happy for him.

as a 2* ath coming out of hs, he probably wouldn't have had the opportunity. he definitely made the choice that was best for him.

That article about Wilson with quotes from Beck made me laugh really damn hard.

Quote :
"Wilson owned a truck; Beck is sure of that. But he routinely ran to class or rode his bike. Just to get a little extra conditioning.

"I remember thinking to myself, that's why that guy is so good at football," Beck said. "

Quote :
"The night before games, after players met with the offensive coordinator, "everybody runs off to eat cheeseburgers and stuff," Beck said"

Well now we know why Harrison Beck was always a little pudgy.

So you think that Russell should not have went into the baseball draft and instead concentrated on Football at NC State because he committed to playing two sports and should be a team player? Just trying to understand what you mean by your statement.

it's hilarious how much you guys fall all over yourselves to defend a guy who chose single A baseball over your school

it's not butthurt. I don't care that he left. TOB made the right call. I don't think this team would be any different with him back at QB.

Our school is shit. Take the money, don't get hurt behind a line that can't protect you to go 6-6. He realized he couldn't hack it as a baseball player, transfered to a school that doesn't suck and now will get drafted. Am not mad at him, disappointed we aren't a better team that would get someone like Russ to stay.
